Travel Journal – 4/5 – Saturday – 2013

Well, haven’t written a continous post flow like the last times and I don’t fell the need for that either. My focus and interest has gone up and down so I write as it pleases me. And for me that’s being carefree…

Well, well, the past few days have been both eventless and eventful. Today we’ve been here for six practical days and we have barely done anything. But also, a lot has happened in that time.

While living in Kita-Urawa we mostly spent our days in town, just browsing and walking around different districts. We found our places of interest and made sure to re-learn the ropes of Tokyo and stuff like that.

Then on the 30th Drak and co returned to Tokyo central and we met up and had a fun night, ending up singing Karaoke at 4 in the morning after sitting in a bar all night just speaking and havng a great time. It was nice to meet them and to hear a little about their trip face, to face. I’ve been in contact with them so much wasn’t new but still interesting.

Then the next day we met up in Kita-Urawa and went to the big sento. It was a nice activity even though I wanted to go for Yakiniku as well but they weren’t interested so we left them in a bookstore as we continued home where we mostly slacked the rest of the evening. I didn’t have any appetite so PB ended up going out himself and I spent the evening and night in bed chatting until very late.

Well, the days after that was prettu eventless, we met up with the others a couple of times and PB and I spoke with Rosalinda, one of Kejiro’s secreteries and paied the rent for our stay and we went out for Curry once. We also played some Lords of Vermillion with he others, as well as Jukebeat Saucer. A pretty entertaining music game, where you have 16 buttons in rows of 4 times four.

Well, well, them we moved into the house.

About a week after we booked the tickets I wa browsing for alternatives on how we would live the days that we didn’t live at the hotel. And for some reason I ended up on a page where uou could rent houses in Tokyo. Quite expensive, about 1k per day, depending on the size of the house and so on. And for some reason we decided to book this house.

Its a big house with a big garden as well, and an outer wall. And for thpse who know anything abput Tokyo and Japan, even big houses in the metropolitan area of Tokyo have small gardens, if any. This place is bigger than the house I grew up in. And the yard. Not to mention this place has a lot of style and seems extremely expensive. Add the rest of Tokyo to that and you can only guess on the real sum of this house and the cost to maintain it.

Well, this house was obviously one of the pages rare exceptions. Usually you rented a house by yourself. But since this house was soooo big, you shared it with some others. Even so the space wyou have for yourself is enormous. And now, we are mostly alone in the house, except the Housekeeper.

Well, well, growing tired now so I will wrap things up a little.

Miiko followed us to the house, just because she was curious. She became friends with the housekeeper and we got a free meal as an result. Yakisoba, noodles fried in a fryingpan. It was really good. She was an amazing japanese cook.

Then later that evening we had a party. Drak, Adolf, Anna and Draks friend Ynz and Adolfs internet friend Yuu. A lot of disussions, drinking and such and it ended with us coming back atound four from a trip to Shibuya and karaoke. We slept most of the day and today we all have taken it very easy.

Well, well, thats it in a nutshell. On monday we’ll move into the same hotel as Drak and Co. And after that we have no more moving to do until we go home, luckily.

Well, well…
