The Five United – The Plan for the End

The end of The Five United is drawing near and as I stated in a text-message recently I’ve gone through the planning.

First of all, the end of The Five United doesn’t mean the end for the group or role-play. But after this campaign ends I will no longer call it the Five United. Because if you succeed in brining about the end which your families have worked for. It will mean the end of The United. And what’s left will not be The Five United. I have more thoughts about this but it isn’t relevant right now.

Well, I have estimated that there will be about 7 in-game sessions left for the group. At least that’s my goal, if we reach it in less I’ll be more than satisfied. More than this, is very unlikely since my planning have a marginal of 2. I’ve planned the last “Quests” and there are only 5 steps before we’ll be done according to that.

When I started this planning, to get structure and more direction for the campaign I also went trough dates and when I wanted this campaign to be over thus the Arc ending and a break would be neat until I’ve read through the final book of The Wheel of Time¹.

So I have 9 dates which will be possible RPG-sessions until my desired end. I want to have the grand ending of the campaign on Saturday the 8th December, if all goes according to plan.

So the dates are these, starting with this week.

The bold rows are the planned sessions. If things cannot be finished or if need and wanted the non bold days might be sessions. I want to finish to the 8/12 but I have reserve dates in case we cannot finish until then. These are;

12. Sunday 16/12 12:00

These sessions are only meant to finish the last Quest if we cannot finish it in time or whatever. If we aren’t finished on the 16th then I will story tell the ending from what I’ve succeded in the best possible way. To my world and your characters advantage. Unless it was something hidden or secret. For example the almost-inevitable death of someone of the Five.

The reason to why I skip sessions next week is due to the fact I’ll probably travel to Härnösand to meet Robert and the rest of the week will be spent planning and being with Louise. As well as gather my strength.

As for the campaign. There are room for a few side adventures and mini-events. I will probably try to minimize the “Main Quest” so mini-events and regular prodding will be possible to do during sessions as well. If needed I’ll use one of the sessions for non-Quest Quests, so to say. Such as Melfite or Vermount.

I’ll advise you all to put in all requests you really want to be done before the Quest End, in this post. Otherwise I will put much of the progression and other requests aside to after the Quest.

Ankan (Ethen) and PB (Aedys) have now gotten their progressons updated. I’ll also modify your Development list so they’ll match and make it possible to train tonight or before 12 tomorrow. Some of the progressions is vital to the quest you have ahead. Also, from now on you can chose (or at least request) where the points of your research, socialize and such will be put. I’ll work with the details of the session tomorrow tonight and tomorrow. If I’m not satisfied I will postpone the session to Sunday because it’s very important to me that all pieces fit and that the game is flowing.
