The Week

2 of 4 player characters have been moved to the new Character Sheet. This week I’ll work on Techniques, Development and the upcoming Arc. Also, PB might be game-mastering a small adventure this week, is Wednesday a good evening for everyone?

Other than that you all have a choice to make. You can either have me do an “upgrade” of your characters again or you can get a development period of 50 DP. You can also sacrifice the Development Period for an Trait.

Well, well, what say you?

    Wednesday is fine.

    I’ll go for an upgrade.

  2. Daniel says:

Wednesday works for me, and I’ll also go for the upgrade I think.

  3. Patrik says:

Wednesday is okay for me also.

I guess i will go for the upgrade also.

  4. Rasmus says:

Yes wednesday Would be awesome. Since I love contributing to your heavy workload I take the upgrade.

Heh, upgrade is actually less to my workload in many, many ways since I can do precicely what I want with your characters.

Another important issue. Are any of you going to purchase any gear. What kind of gear do you want? If I can get an estimation of what people want I will probably put the Shopping List on ice. This would lessen my workload somewhat

So, please. Is there anything you wish to trade for, exchange or upgrade?

I’ve been mulling over that stuff, I think that in the end it boils down to two, possibly three things that I want.

One is a crossbow, looking at a list you’ve made for shopping it’d be a standard one.

Two and three go together, and it’s obviously about armor… I’m thinking of having Durin treat leather armor as clothing (he pretty much has from the time he aquired it, in my mind) and then buy some ‘real’ armor to use when it’s time for “business”. I am not actually sure what kind of armor I want, so I’m gonna have a look at it shortly and then I’ll post again.

Forgot about this last night, well I’ve been looking at it since i got up now and I realised that there’s just no practical solution for me to use heavier armor.

Durin is pretty strong, has level three warrior athletics and he gets heavy encumbered by pretty much everything that has abs 4 or higher (counting minimum gear, and a shortsword instead of the battlehammer, which I think is unreasonable).

Just looking at the penalties and ignoring weight I think the armors are terribly balanced. Boiled and studded leather armor is superior or equal to chainmail in every way except it has 3 less DUB. Also, it’s completley superior to bronze halfplates and I’d argue, every armor that has 4 abs except for scale mails (which are pretty good, if heavy).

Anyway, as things stand what I want is a studded and boiled leather armor and a standard crossbow. If my calculations are correct I will just barely not be heavy encumbered if I leave the shortsword and non-critical gear in the wagon.

3 of 4, only Hugon left. And if I want to transfer Ivilh and upgrade her for real I should do that too.

  7. Ankan says:

At some point I would like upgrades for the slings to bolas. I think some form of light armor that can be worn as adventurer clothes for Ethen would also be appropriate. Don’t really know at what level of protection though. The idea is to be able to use it usually when in somewhat threatening areas, but use more casual clothes when safe.

Except weapons and armours, is there anything else?

    • Ankan says:

Only think I can think of is stuff for the chipmunk. Some treat and some secure way of storing it. And maybe something used to take care of him, if needed.

    • Daniel says:

      Rope! 😛

Now that we’ve got a wagon we should buy a good bit of rope, it’s always good to have just in case.

Can’t really think of much else.
