Evil Mini-Arc Over
So, finally you’ve finished with your business in Newbridge.
Even though you practically “lost” and didn’t manage to stop everything you made an impact and most importantly, took part in vital events. Some of you seems to think you are inflicted with Star Crossed events, but that isn’t the case. All the events you blunder into are actually just regular events in various degrees. Things happen and if they are to be fun and interesting to play things must happen almost everywhere almost all the time so the world feels alive and moving forward. What also makes it more alive and is proof that you aren’t Star Crossed, is that in almost every major event, you didn’t do almost anything vital nor where you the center of events.
Well, well, all in all I think it went pretty well on and off during this mini-campaign. You squabble to much internally but if you get time you move forward. It’s hard to know how to push you to move without quenching your tries to play out your characters as you envisions them. But it is possible and it moves forward.
You will now receive one extended DP, period in Newbridge and at the same time 1 DP, period without trainers while traveling with Vince’s retinue to Northford. All in all 35 DP to spend (or work for). Even though you travel with Vince you don’t need to work for him. Ivilh and Ethen will work for him and get paid for their duties. The rest of you still have the option to work for him on a more permanent basis or just toki doki, when he needs it/feel like it. If you prove your worth to him he might give you more considerable work but right now he’s more interested in Ethen’s puzzle skills.
I will point out though, and also give you the opportunity to stay, that you’ll miss a lot of very nice adventures and mini-quests in Newbridge if you leave it now with Vince. Some of what you’ll miss will be left there for some other time. But some opportunities are only available now. To hint about it, there are some interesting things to to both with the Church as well as the Cursed Mansion. Also the Spirit Woods have mysterious creatures prowling about. Other than that, fighting crime isn’t over (mainly defeating and brining Pirate Captain White, to justice). Other than that you’ve started to earn some respect in Newbridge, and if you build on it you might be able to build up an reputation and the like. And as you suspect, the events concerning the Evil Arc, isn’t over.
Don’t take me wrong though. I prefer you move along, but I know that some of you will miss this opportunity later on and maybe even regret it. Though I will not say much more about this other than to ask you to reconsider and do it quickly, because I will plan the next session later today and right now I’m focused at 2×05 – The Capitol of Noria.
Well, well, good with a post here, don’t you think?
I want to travel along with Vince when he goes. But there are still options. First, it is possible for some people to stay behind and finish some stuff in Newbridge.
Additionally, might it even be possible to have a session or two before we take off? He wasn’t supposed to travel until a week after the events in this session. The question is just how injured people are and so on.
I wouldn’t mind checking out for example what that stuff about the Church is. The Cursed Mansion might also contain interesting stuff, though it does not seem like a very nice place, really creepy. I guess the spirit wood would be very interesting for Durin… And some reputation wouldn’t be too bad for the group.
So for me, we could do some stuff before departure. But I don’t want to stay any longer than that. If you want to finish more stuff, go ahead. Not too bad of a place for a split.
I agree that it went pretty well, but yes we also squabble a bit too much at some times. And too bad we couldn’t stop them.
One session would be possible.
Split is also a possibility. So if you wish we could do this. Ethen and Ivilh will go with Vince since both of you seems to be interested in that and the rest of you doesn’t seem to want to work for him anyway.
It’s only in stories the good guys win all the time. But in your case it’s mostly the bad guys that always win, hehe.
Well, maybe not quite. You have had some victories, such as Greenshire Killers, even though King walked free you got most of them.
Well, well…
We’ll see what the others have to say, but nothing obvious that I want out of staying. My goals drive me forward.
Yay a post!
Well yeah.. “we” squabble too much. Sometimes I just wish we can move on a bit faster cause its really sleepy and dull sometimes, and I prefer quick out of game deciscions and if you have anything to point out or do.. do it in-game, better overall feeling and flow, just my opinion.
About moving on or not, I would like to move on, I dont feel particulary interested in starting some new “quest” and try to push it and finish it in one session or so. And at least for me I dont feel or see much that i would miss/regret by not staying. I belive northford wil be much more interesting to play out stuff and be in.
Well well.
I think everyone wants to move forward, I am still curious about what is going on and as Anders pointed out… The Spirt Wood is definitely interesting for me, almost to the point where I’d want to stay simply for that.
I’d like Ivilh’s help with that bit though, as I suck as a hunter and don’t really have any tracking skills. I assume that this is out of the question though? This might be a good opportunity to really get started with genemorphagus in earnest, I can finish Tor’s tracking training in one go so I might be able to do something on my own. Gold is also an issue here though, I feel that I need some more equipment for this to be plausible.
The work offered to us from Vince’s son (what’s his face?) is just general guard work right? How much does that actually pay?
In conclusion I’m torn, I really want to get going on genemorphagus but I’m uncertain what can be done at the moment, I’m also definitely interested in moving forward.
Ivilh will not stay, no.
The work with Barnes are as Town Watchmen at officer rank. So its not just regular work. Depending on if you sleep and eat and live with the Town Guard you’ll get from 125-200sc per DP period.
Well whatever, I’ll stay.. Simply because genemorphagus is the main concept of this character.
My thoughts;
I will consult with Ethen regarding what I should do if and when I get something I want to ingest (which is the goal obviously).
I will need to get some coin, we need it in general and I feel that I need some hunting gear. Meaning I’ll likely take Barnes’ offer. At the very least I need that knife I’ve been wanting for a while, and I also need to repair this shield or get a new one. There’s probably some other stuff that’d be practical to have too for hunting but nothing comes to mind right now.
Obviously, finishing Tor’s tracking training is crucial for this ‘plan’.
I’m curious about the church also, I probably already visisted it briefly by now but I’m interested in what might be going on there and maybe learning some more about it. This is very much so a low priority though.
I don’t think we should stay, because I don’t want to die. The leftovers seem interesting but we have more pressing matters, besides I’m hurt and hunted. Would be cool to finally se Northford.
I don’t mind if we don’t, but if we do I don’t care.
