Aedys – The Acrobat

So, time for some personal descriptions.

Aedys (PB)

Aedys lives alone with her father Lublei [Lube-Lei] and his mute Halfelf assistant Viata [Via-Ta] in the forest northeast of Northend. They live in a complex cottage/adventure path meant to train them and keep them sharp. The Cottages are both on the ground and in the trees, Elven style. They have footbridges, ropes, nets, and plateaus of wood everywhere. It’s a fun place for children even though Lublei never allows visitors outside the United.

Every once a year they tear down their house and builds a new training ground/house somewhere else in the forest. All to keep Lublei, Viata and Aedys sharp and agile. As well as to have some variation, Lublei says.

Lublei is a proficient Hannje and has advanced quite a bit in the art of Storytelling and Illusions. He is also very proficient with many instruments and knows how to manipulate the sounds to his liking. He also seems to be the only one of The Five that is in a great shape, except for his terrible mood swings.

When Aedys was nine, he had perfected his first own Hannjism Technique and wanted his daughter to share the technique with him. He used a reddened blade to cut in her tongue as to make it a flute possible to create the right precise sounds needed for Hannjism Techniques. He himself only drilled holes on his cheeks and learned how to make whistling sounds while singing, or speak. His daughter’s model though is much more potent.

This though pained her very much, as well as helped her gain both awe and wonder from the townsfolk. But it also was a big problem for her as she couldn’t pronounce words correctly and started to lisp horribly. This he had to fight over the years and learn how to speak with as little lisping as possible.

She and her father is respected, feared and viewed in disgust by the townsfolk. Lublei is the best musician and entertainer and is very sought after by most people. And his humble equal prices for both low and high, makes everybody hiring him. He is often the main entertainer and star of the shows of feasts, dances and parties.

People find him strange due to his strange assistant, which creeps people out. And his different looks and way to act and gather information. Some even think that he is a magical creature that can read minds, and find that very unnerving. Twice has someone from the town tried to kill him, when they thought he knew something that they wanted to keep a dear secret. Both times he instead made a fool out of the people and revealed their shameful secrets and ruined them. The last time though, he did it while showing his full might of his abilities in Hannjism that nearly got him thrown out of Northend.

And since then, most people have left him alone. Fearful of both him, and his daughter.
