Lucid Dreaming

Taken from Wikipedia
A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is fully aware that they are dreaming while the dream is in progress. In a lucid dream, it is often possible to exert conscious control over the dream characters and environment, as well as to perform otherwise physically impossible feats.

A lucid dream can start in one of two ways. A dream-initiated lucid dream (DILD), starts as a normal dream, where the dreamer logically concludes that they are indeed dreaming. The second way, sometimes described as a more advanced method, is the wake-initiated lucid dream (WILD), where the dreamer goes from a normal waking state directly into a dream state with no lapse in consciousness.

Lucid dreaming has been researched scientifically, and its existence is well established. Researchers such as Allan Hobson with his neurophysiological approach to dreaming have helped to push the understanding of lucid dreaming into a less speculative realm.

I can do this, often WILD, and seldom DILD, I’ve done this as far as I can remember, and I have been trying to get rid of this, but failed. I recomend everyone who have any interest in this to go to Wikipedia and read a little more about Lucid Dreaming.

Have you been trying to get rid of it? After reading the text it seemed like it would be almost cool to be able to perform WILDs.

Well, after a while this, no matter how cool it sounds, get’s very, very boring. And the worst part of it is that you have to wait or try to do something to pass the time, while you are sleeping.

If you have controll over everything, this isn’t fun. But if you somehow manages to loose controll a little, and let the dream controll some elements, it’s actually pretty entertaining and funny. I’ve managed to do this lately. Even thou it still bothers me a little. But when you’re drunk or sick, it seems to go away.

Ahh… black dreams… in a blink of an eye… wonderful.
