Recovery at 50%
Today me and Junjun went to the vet to remove the stitches and look over his other wound.
This went fairly well, even though I came a bit late to the vet due to a simple factor of hunger. I needed to eat and I didn’t want to hurry. I thought that if I missed my time and he couldn’t receive me we could always come back another day. Fortunately for me he had time and we could do it anyway. The longer cut on his abdomen had healed enough to remove the stitches left on it. It became a little bit red, but that’s mostly because of the irritation of removing the threadlike stitches1.
His open wound is healing properly but I discovered this morning that I’ve medicated him wrongly. He’s supposed to take his meds twice a day and not only in the morning. Even so it seems that he’s okay. I will medicate him properly from now on and hope that it will help him recover faster. I’m also thinking about castrating Lillen this week or the next. If I do it now the time they’ll spend wearing the cones will be shorter in total. They need to have the cones for at least one to two weeks more and if Lillen’s operation goes smoothly it should be possible to do the operation this week and then remove her cone at the same time as I remove Junior’s cone for good.
If I do so, I really look forward to seeing Lillen sway around as Junior did.
