Triquerta – Linhi (Andreas)

And then lastly Andreas character. Andreas just recently decided to join the group. I hope it will be fun.

Description

His name is Linhi, 14 years old, a human young man from Sancho. Perhaps he got the following quailty from his mother or from the church, but he treates all people with respect.

He has never killed anyone and doesn’t want to either. He has a tall body which is quite slim. One peculiar part with his looks is a tattoo on his forehead, a golden coloured one, shaped a little bit as a lotus flower.

He always wear a priest robe, which he feels more comfortable in compared to normal clothes, duo to his associations. Dark green eyes, but not to green, darker skin tone and black hair.

He fights with his hands, using martial arts his father tought him. He learned skills with other weapons such as dagger and sword aswell, but he do not want to use them because it easily goes to a kill.

At the moment owning nothing except his robe and a foodbowl.

He often bless those who seem to need it.

History

Linhi was born in a middle class family, as of what middle class is for a sanchoin. He had living parents, where the father was outgoing and strict even a bit cold now and then, where as the mother was the opposite. They had a decent house where his father often arranged meetings, though at this time it was unknown for Linhi, what they where about. Few times a week people came in large groups mostly, with weapons at their sides. Always when passing  Linhi in the hallway, they never looked him in the eye, just took notice of him. Very tense atmosfair, very tense people, it felt as if they could draw their weapons any moment and slice him to death, without hesite. Strange it was that his father spend time with these men, he never felt ill at ease around his father.

“I need you to go upstairs son, we are going to have a meeting in the livingroom.” He always said and the many footsteps of the group continued to fill the house with sound.

Many times had he tryed to sneak up on the conversations from the stairway, though the thick walls and the restrained voices he prediced was used, made it quite so difficult.

He could rarely have friends over nor do the things he liked and his strict father was the cause of it all. Though every oppurtunity he had of spending time with “around like aged” people he was glad. So positive towards others that he became unfrightened of most social interactions. His upbrining contributed to a excellent behavior combined with his interest in others make him quite lovely.

Their is one period of his upbringing though, which made an large impact on his direction in life. He had grown a bit and was in the last weeks of him being in his parents custody.

During all Linhi life, his mother was a loving and caring person, but when it came to her husbands secrets she was a coward, never questioned anything. Nevertheless she despised him for not telling her and Linhi being in the same boat as her, with time started feeling the same way.

The period which is about to be mentioned started with Hanm(his father) being away a lot of the time. Which was odd because he usually took care of everything from home.

The times he was home, no questions where asked about it.

One morning Ylihna(his mother) got her hands on an newspaper, where she noticed articles about larger killings around the same days as Hanm had been away. She started putting things together. Even if the armed meetings pointed to the obvious of fighting, of some kind, which is common in these lands, she never knew it was about this much.

A night came and when Linhi was about to go to sleep, a quarrel broke out. It was between his parents, where Ylihna was cryingly looking for truth in her husband. “she has probaly reach her limit about staying quite” Linhi thought for himself.

The drama went on and Ylihna throwed accusations at him, things about him being a leader of a larger guild, preforming assassinations at requests, aswell as cutting down resistences

Things started happening after this, more people walking in and out throught the door at their home. Even large bags with assumingly dead bodys inside was sighted, though it hardly had anything to do with the quarrel. Though something was going on and Linhi did not want to be apart of it.

To make a long story short, he ran away from home.

He joined the church for cover, because his father would otherwise easily find him and bring him home. As long as he could get over to the other side of Nianze, he would be to tough to find. One of the reasons why he left was because he didn’t approve of his father making. It wasn’t easy to leave his mother, but return in later days is possible. Linhi accually left a note to his mother, telling her he had nothing to live for in that old strict home and so on.

Linhi settled in a church far away from his hometown, though still in Sancho. There he learned the ways of the priests. He only came here for cover but found himself liking the atmophere and that people wanted the best for each other here. So he stayed and finished some priest courses, then smuggled himself on a boat to the other side of Nianze.

Vision

He has became more muscular from all fighting and morning exercises, aswell as better at using martial arts effectively, like disarming opponents wielding weapons.

At this time he would like to have earned some money, not much but enough to get by. Being with the church he feels no need for too many belongings. He now feels the church is his home and not the house his parents own. He sure would like to meet his mother again, but also feels that other people need him aswell and that helping the church is his quest in life. Maybe he will hear rumors of his fathers death anytime, then it would be easy to return home, with a lot of things to catch up with his mother. Maybe he need to look more forgivingly on his father.

In some acquaintances he might stand out a bit with his dark skin, though he haven’t gotten much fame nor does he really seek it.

He hasn’t stopped with always wearing robes, but it sure is suitable for a priest. He likes to upgrade a bit, now and then to nicer cloth and maybe one day he can get his hands on a magic one.

He is a excellent resource in combat, duo to his ability to stay out of fire and heal his team mates when they need him. Earlyer he had only used spells in calm situations, do it all at once in stressful situations has been a challenge, but has made him excellent on it.

The only thing to say about your description except for the interesting concept I see is that the golden lotus on your forehead. It’s a little bit odd and I want an explanation for it if that isn’t explained in the next part.

Other than that, if you are dark-skinned and from Sancho I wonder if you are dark as me, or darker still? Anyhow you should have more Asian characteristics in your characters appearance since he’s from Sancho and they are kind of Chinese-Mongol looking depending on how native they are from Sancho.

Other than that, interesting. I will comment further on if there are any conflicts in your concept to the holiness you seem to strive for.

    History
In your History I find some discrepancies with how things Work in Sancho. But not as much as one would expect from someone who doesn’t know my world.

In the end more than in the beginning. However it’s easy to fix this.

The first real “wrong” in your story is Newspaper. There are no such things in Sancho. There is only one country where newspapers are found.

Another method for his mother to find this out could have been gossip or killboards. There are killboards where most people buy they water in Sancho since most water is heavily poisoned and only mutants can drink it without dying or falling ill.

She could even have been so bold to spy on his husband or just happened to find some paper or indication of the deeds they suspect. If you want you can actually leave that part completely out since Linhi might not have known how she came to know this in the end.

The second and also the largest “wrong” is the Church. In Sancho there isn’t a church of Twelve (A Church where all the Twelve Gods are represented) and thus only the Satanist Gods are represented. These gods aren’t evil but they are more “The Power of One” (Ensam är stark) and the like.

Though, this is easily mended by a Pilgrim or travelling Priest. When Linhi fled to one of the Sanctums or Churches he might have come in contact with a priest who were trying to become a “Priest of Twelve” a priest affiliated with all the twelve gods. That would be a good reason and a good mentor to have to inspire your character in the way you want. Also that would be a good way for Linhi to have fled Sancho.

Sancho is hard to escape, especially for kids. It’s easy to get in, hard to get out. But if this travelling priest were to have travelled to Magicka (where the campaign is set) next, we also have the reason to why you are at the same place as the rest of the group.

    Vision
Interesting. You are planning to become a semi-holy magic martial artist? It seems like quite a challenge. The holy aspect still brings some trouble to the concept but it’s nothing you need to change, just things I need to include in the gameplay to make it work.

I only want to clarify one thing. You will most likely not begin with Holy Addendum – The holy add-on system with real holy powers. And I cannot guarantee that you even will earn it but if you want to be able to earn a Holy Addendum, I must know this know. One mustn’t be holy to be a priest.
