I hate waking up to the sound of something breaking…

…but I guess that’s the life with two cats – I can’t call them kittens anymore even though Lillen is awfully small for a cat and she seems to have decided to stop growing for some reason.

Well, here I was, sleeping as most normal people do. When I feel Junior trying to get under my comforter. I ignore him and scratch him a little. Suddenly I hear a klack, klack, klack and I sit up in my bed and start to move down to the floor. Then I gear a crack! as a panicked almost-cat Lillen thinks I’m out to get her and quickly escape whatever she was doing by breaking something.

Of course I get annoyed and snap her nose and thrust a finger and some angry words at her but it’s really not much to do about it when it essentially was my fault I quickly find out. The thing that was broken was the door to the cat litter but the reason to why it got broken was because the door in the cardboard box I have the cat litter in was flipped up. So to get into the box in the first place she had to jump over the cardboard edge and then when she was coming out of the litter she somehow got stuck. The rest is just panic mixed with the fear of me being angry for her doing something she shouldn’t.

That though makes me suspicious. Maybe she does stuff when I’m asleep? Even though I’m a ultra-light sleeper the cats might have found a way to be really, really quiet. Which I doubt though since it’s almost impossible for the cats to leave the bed without waking me up. Not even Junior, who is the best on being silent can more than move to change position in the bed, can in any way get down from the bed without waking me up.

Well, the door to the cat litter was easily mended though with some super glue and a little patience. The trick to get the door back in place in the hood of the cover to the cat litter was the part where patience was needed. It wasn’t the easiest thing to do without risking breaking the door again. Anyway, I managed to do it and the cat litter is fully functional again.

But I still hate to wake up to the sound of something breaking and it gets me very annoyed. Well, well…1

  1. Just as a side note, I first thought to post this post today but when I realized I had gotten behind again and don’t really know what to write I decided to put it on the earliest vacant day I’ve missed, note to self
