Kuroshitsuji II
Anime?! This was a long time ago, wasn’t it?
Well, well…
Just wanted to say that today the sequel to Kuroshitsuji came out and it was really interesting. At first I feared it would be just a copy of the original since it played on the same concept. I expected just a mirror series in another setting that would be somewhat interesting but the humour would probably make it redundant.
I was wrong.
SPOILER ALERT1
In the beginning it sure was as expected. But the new main character is mean and not even just. Ciel Phantomhive were a good even though he was harsh in his method. This boy though is straight out mean and unfair totally contrary to Ciel. He is pathetic in this evil kind of way too which makes him dangerous.
The butler though is all too like Sebastian, but unlike Sebastian he seems to favour golden knives instead of silver. I don’t have much to say about him yet since the Butlers are a little bit mysterious. But that’s the way it is with demonic butlers I guess.
The thing though that was a pleasant surprise and which actually might just be something to catch the interest of the audience and make us expect more is that not only have Sebastian and Ciel a appearance in the first episode. But Sebastian and this new butler, Claude, fights. This might just be a way to make it better, but it might also imply that this series will not focus around the same thing and also that Sebastian and Ciel will appear again.
Really exciting twist I think. Too bad the humour seems to be on the same level… The humour is a bit too high for this series to be really good. Makes it feel like a childish series and also takes the edge of the suspense.
Well, for those who haven’t seen Kuroshitsuji, I recommend it. It’s available on my server.
Best Regards,
Herid Fel

Hehe, there’s been a lot of recommendations from different sources lately and the pile of stuff to check out never seems to get any smaller 😛
Well, it’s on my ‘list’ now at least.
It tends to become like that. I’ve noticed the same phenomena when I’ve been around Drak since Drak is one of the few who actually has any taste for movies and series. This despite his liking to Love Hina, One Piece and Bleach. Or Haruhi, which was a too unserious series to be worth watching. But in most other cases our tastes are almost the same.
Though in my case it’s mostly movies and seldom Anime. I’ve seen much on Anime but almost nothing of what’s considered “normal movies” which everybody saw when they were small but I wasn’t allowed to.
