Campaigns…

Yes, as earlier stated before I went away I’m thinking to play a campaign as well now when I’ve dragged down the tempo somewhat. I myself don’t feel for Crystal for the moment so I probably won’t start it unless there are a lot of people who wants to play it, say at least three people.

My idea is to start a small campaign which will be played in chapters. In other words every session has a goal or end. In whole a the campaigns will not be longer than more than 10 sessions. In other words about the same length as the A Dark Life.

The campaigns are to be closed as well, you might be able to play own characters but the story won’t be as flexible as in other cases and everything has to follow the plan and go towards the goal. The purpose is also to introduce something interesting or give some insight in something or maybe even educate people about Nianze’s history and races or whatever.

I have a few ideas right now which I will introduce;

In Exile
This campaign is about a crew on a boat of explorers that happens to get into a lot of trouble due to simple bad luck, being on the wrong place in the wrong time. As a result they discover something which hasn’t been discovered and faces the consequences.

As players you play semi-epic sailors who happens to encounter The Xin. The thought behind it is an introductory campaign built to give insight and understanding in the new two races. It’s also the “introduction campaign” necessary to play any of the Xin and get an even deeper understanding.

Diamond Fever
Replay of one of the most successful campaigns I’ve ever done. It’s actually an adventure possible to play later on when your characters have reached a more epic level in any of The Eye-groups. Though I think it won’t be as interesting to play then. Plus I want to have some of the original heroes in this campaign. For those who don’t know about this campaign I’ll give a summary;

A lord of some kind has lost his jewels, but these jewels aren’t just any jewels but dangerous magical jewels. They have an enchantment on them which makes one who aren’t strong enough crazy and very dangerous. The jewels though are vital for the lord and he has hired the best Hireswords he can find to find the thief. It’s a very detective like campaign where you also have two Hero NPC’s of high epic level with you. Rowakanda the Mutant and Isshara the Nymph.

The Tale of a Hero
Simple, this is one where we just envision a hero. And then we try to create a tale which will create this Hero. Flexible campaign to create an epic Hero from scratch.

Well, that’s just a few ideas. What do you think? Interested?

    Yeah, I think all of them actually sounds interesting.

    Althought if I have to chose one, I would go with the Exile campaign at the moment, it would be fun to finally see what these Xin’Ar/Er is all about and then maybe be able to play one in the future.

    So that one has my vote. As for the other campaigns they also seem like fun, since I bailed from Diamond fever the last time.

    And as for crystal.. well I wouldnt mind playing that one either, but I actually think that the Exile campaign seems more interesting at the momement.

    So most of you are interested in playing the Exile Campaign, you don’t prefer anything else?

    If so then I will start a post so you can create characters, so an answer would be appreciated.
