Coughing, couch surfing and curry…

Well… to sum up the day; internets.

When I woke up today I woke up because my stomach felt like it was time to turn itself outside in and upside down. It’s a very unpleasant way to wake up I must say with your stomach trying to kill you like that. So the first few moments of being awake is fully dedicated from the beginning to end to concentrate to not puke and not scream in pain as my stomach just hates me in general.

When the pain finally subsided and things settled back to normal I rested a while listing to audio book before I finally got up to eat some things and to go to Starbucks to get a proper visit to a proper toilet and not these awful Japanese squat toilets which I hate. If there is some part of Japan I really, really hate it’s those things. But well, then again you can manage as long as number two isn’t necessary.

I think I got up around 10 and Drak later woke up around 12 when I decided that we needed some more warmth in the apartment and turned on the heater. After that we went down to the classroom where we had stable internet and there we sat and in a couch and CouchSurfed on the internets. Chatting, writing, reading and so on.

Drak didn’t feel that great, my throat is dry and I feel like I have a mild fever and it seems that Drak is coughing like he’s trying to cough up his kidney or something and obviously he’s not feeling that well either. So half-sick and half-tired we just chilled in the couch and enjoyed being able to go out on the internet in our “Japanese Home” and to be in contact with the rest of the world on a more permanent basis.

Miiko called around 14:00, she had cooked some lunch for us, home made curry, and made a salad for me, Drak dislikes vegetables, which I think I’ve mentioned. It was highly appreciated with free food not to mention that her Curry was as good as before, even though this time it was a little bit colder than before. I think she ate when she called us and then since we didn’t have time to eat before 15:00 – or rather as my mother would have liked me to express myself; didn’t take the time – we got heated food instead. But it was good anyway.

We then spent the rest of the evening up until now (00:12) to surf on the internet wile the rain has battered the window most of the day. I went a quickie to buy some foodstuffs and make us both soup somewhere around 20:00 but other than that we’ve mostly just sat here with computers and listening to each others typing and Drak’s occasional coughing.

Now we’re going to take a cup of warm tea in our apartment and then go to bed. Tomorrow is the last day with the Buddihsts and the big day Miiko has been talking about since we entered this chapter. Well, well…

Best Regards,
