Travel Journal

I think this will be quite common to do in the future if we have done quite a lot of things during one day. To get a perspective of things, other than just waiting and waiting, flying and waiting which would be a sufficient summary of what we actually did during that schedule.

Well, say that Saturday per se started when we landed in Bejing. Then we mostly wandered around firstly in the big quite artistic airport. I have a lot of memories of many airports but this one was kind of more stylish than most others even though it wasn’t the most efficient or easiest airport I’ve been to.

In Bejing we watched the movie Shinobi while we waited and timely after that movie was done we could board our plane. We also bought something to drink and discovered how amazingly cheap everything was in China. Imagine that you’re on an airport can buy a soft drink say Coca Cola for 3kr? It’s even cheaper than most cheap, cheap places in Sweden! That makes one question; how much would this cost on the street? If it gets any cheaper it might as well be free. So I think at least I will go here some day. It’s cheap but China is after all a place I want to visit too.

Well, when we got off in Japan some funny stuff happened I must say. Say, I am not quite regular looking I think I can say without lying but Drak on the other hand kind of is a regular Joe. But even so he got stuck at all the Customs or whatever station we needed to pass. They asked him loads of questions while they to me mostly just nodded smiled and I was through every check. I think it’s quite funny in a irony kind of way. The weirdo gets by without any questions but when a regular Joe comes buy they get suspicious.

Well, after we had gone through everything and finally gotten our luggage, which by the way didn’t end up in Cambodia which I feared, we rented cellphones. It’s possible to send SMS with these to Sweden but it costs around 7 kr so I won’t answer or send SMS. If you want to SMS me though you have to ask Rasmus my number because I don’t know what it is in Sweden.

Other than that we just made our way to Kita Urawa, and I might add that Drak was kind of… tired. But then again he hadn’t slept nearly as much as I did on the planes… even though he kept me awake more than I would have been alone. So when we got here and got into our apartment we just settled down before we went out to the same place I went to the first time I came to Japan and ate the same thing as the first time I was here too; Extra Spicy Beef Ramen. After that we went to the supermarket to buy some breakfast and then on our way home I bought some Curry Rice since I was hungry. Even though a bowl of Ramen is really big. But then again I’ve only lived on air, water and airplane food the past day or so.

Well, well… now we’re going to do something in the sunshine, it’s about 20 degrees outside and quite humid. But well, I’ll tell you about today later.
