Ramble LII
It seems that I’ve been either occupied or not in the right mood to finish the third part of the Continuations but well, I think we’ll survive.
One of the reasons is that I’ve had a CouchSurfer here since Tuesday and he just recently went to another place and left me alone. I planned to finish the story before I met him on Tuesday but that day WANO had a meeting and I had to go shopping and lots of other stuff so I simply didn’t have time to finish it before it was time to go, I’m afraid.
WANO is a funny bunch I think. I wonder if they realize that I’m mostly in control even though I leave control open to them. During the meeting I had wrote the protocol from the Annual Meeting and I had written the agenda for the current meeting, checking the other protocols for motions and items that would follow along to other meetings. The new president almost didn’t say anything other than what I told her to say and she was still like, and what now? Looking to me all the time, even though I’ve shown the whole board how a meeting can be done in various ways the past half year. She almost seemed overwhelmed by what she had done.
Not to mention when we went to the bank1 later. Before we went in I told her what we were to do and what she would say and so on. I only went with them as a courtesy and because they asked me to, in case of problems. But when it was time to say things she was like; “Eh, well… this…” and I had to help her since nobody of the two others said a word. When we were finished and was walking out of the bank she was like; “I still got a lot to learn”. Well it’s a good attitude, I only hope that she’ll listen to me and try to take charge by herself too. But well… we’ll see what happens because a funny thing has happened too.
The Accountant for WANO e-mailed me in the middle of the night with a panicky letter. She wanted out, out, out from WANO and the board and all what responsibility was. She felt anxiety and uncomfortable and wanted a way out. She knew that it was very badly timed by her come with this now, just after the meeting, when it could have been resolved just a day ago without problems instead.
Well, we’re working with a simple solution I came up with for this to relieve her of most of her duties and schooling another one to take the post. Then they suddenly wanted me for that post and that’s when I stomped down my foot and declared my ultimatum; “If I’m in WANO it’s as one of two possible people. As the president and head of WANO or as the auditor and the puppetmaster. Nothing in between. If I were president of WANO I would take her duties until a new accountant could have been chosen but now you didn’t want me there so you’ll have to handle it”. I thought this as funny because in that moment they all seemed to regret the situation.
Well, even so I am in control. I direct what they do with my “suggestions” and also say how they should do it and give them some alternatives. So ultimately, I am the master of WANO, more than ever before. I think I have even a greater control of the people now than when I was president for real, since then I mostly did everything myself. I love it!
