Writing Stories

Well, I must say that even though Ankan’s comments tend to be quite long I quite enjoy them when it comes to my stories. It really gives me an insight in what I need to improve and also kind of give me a direction in which I should be heading. I obviously have a lot to work about but right now I mostly write just what I think and then translate as I speak it to myself which tends to get very… Swedish in English-ish.

Even so right now writing is the one thing I’m focusing on improving. Since I’ve dropped the ball for LoW a lot of time has been released to me. It’s not like it was a burden precisely but without it I don’t need to focus on small things anymore. I will now be able to more freely jump around and focus on other matters which I had let slip before since I focused more on depth of the game, character development and player understanding of the world and its characters.

This Sunday I will start this The Eye group. People can create characters home and send them to me and ask for advice or help if they want or you can create characters here. Note though that I would suggest you have a computer if you are to create characters here. It would be much easier if you had a computer or if you already had done the major things with your character and just do the finer adjustments here. Such as Techniques, Spells and such things. Though I would suggest you play characters not too well versed in such things so I have opportunities to test much different things from the beginning instead of trying to jump ahead of myself. Enough about that though.

I think that after Project 3 is finished I will probably try to create a more intimate story that is more flowing and personal to the characters. With names this time and explanation more inbaked and the mystery kept to a minimum. I’m thinking about a free-form serial story with a couple of characters. I will most likely not plan far ahead but mostly just write chapter after chapter instead and try to finish and release them on the same day once a week. But it all depends on reception since a project like that will demand more.

Well, well… the next part of Project 3 – Continuations will probably be posted Wednesday or Thursday. But we’ll see. I can’t promise anything other than it will be posted before the end of the week.
