Project 3 – Some Reflections

To those who haven’t read or cannot read these posts I will explain what this is. Project 3 is a small project I started about the same day as I post the first part. It is a series of nine parts in total I’ve planned with outlines and guide points before I started to write out the actual parts of the story.

The main theme of Project 3 is just 3. It revolves against the deviation of three in many ways. I have parted the story in three main parts with three parts in every main part. There are three main characters one of each sub part which the story will follow till the end.

The thing that is different with Project 3 is that it’s planned as a story, and not just a story but a story where you have a clear beginning, a build up, and end. You follow an entire adventure and not just a fragment of something. That is different from what I usually write plus it describes more intimately some things I don’t get much opportunity to describe otherwise is flowing text.

I must say now, when I have finished the thirst part, Beginnings that it turned out better than I first imagined it which is good. When I got the idea I thought it would be hard to follow and too much similarities between the different characters but at least I feel that they are distinct and good. They are meant to be three almost completely different characters that also have three things in common. Once again the number three should have an importance.

I also try to take the opportunity to give some insights in how the world works from the perspective of the natives that thinks as is proper for one of their position. Thus really doing things the way their culture has thought them and is not influenced by our society too much. I try to envision what should be different in thought and behaviour as I do this trying to make it more real.

The next part will be named Continuation and it will have three sub parts too. It will be the same characters, of course, and more will be revealed about what they are doing, where they are going and who they are. These parts are meant to be a little longer¹ and include some more juicy details and story explanation and description for powers and the like.

I can also say that the last part will be called Endings. Maybe the Main Parts name isn’t that imaginative but I think it fits and it’s also gives me a good feeling. It fits somehow. But that’s only me doing what I want and feel is right again. Well, well. We’ll see when the next part will continue, most likely it will be soon since I want to catch the feeling and vision as quickly as possible.
