Practice in Olak Hills
Well, I think that the last session went relativetly okay so I decided to reward Dannes initiative and advance somewhat into the campaign. You still all lack some imagination and seem to have a hard time deciding how to act with your characters. But well, it was a good step in the right direction. I’m sure it will get better with time.
If you had varied your descriptions and decisions some more you would have gained more stones. Contrary to Shikár and other very stale and much focused people, Debians are not ones to do the same thing just because. They do not lack dedication, but they are humans and living it out is an important thing for most of them. So think about taking more initiative with that and try to vary things somewhat.
And the pace of the days, you can easily just skip days and push forward to what you want instead, you don’t need to go into every day, especially if you think that it wouldn’t provide anything new for you and your character. But you can return to that day, if someone else would think of something they do on that day or if you want to add something you did previously. Next time we might even use the concept of a week1 and you will be able to jump back and forth in that week.
Anyway, what’s coming up will be a taste of what to come. This session will mark the middle of Phase One in the campaign so it’s about as many sessions left before the second phase begins of the campaign. In other words, we are halfway through the introduction chapter of the campaign. What you will, or rather shall, experience in the next session will be reoccurring later in the campaign, one or several times, most likely several times by the looks of it.
You have experienced this before in a similar way, only that it’s different, hehe. Last time you experienced this it was with JALD about two years ago in Kalmar. I think you all know what I’m getting at, the ones who doesn’t know, haven’t experienced it. This time though the difference is the way it will be done plus several other things I’ll tell you tomorrow. But as earlier mentioned you need to stay alert if this session should work. If it doesn’t or if you according to me slack off or are too tired to continue I will sum it up and end the session. This includes me too. So see this as a trial run, since we’ll do this again.
Well, it was a good initiative by Danne to gather all of you. And since he was too slow, lacked the imagination and understanding of the Debians I took the chance to put in this. Also to make it more complete, I will put you all into play in this so nobody will be left outside, not completely. So I’ve jumped a bit and put you all in place. Exactly how and where I’ll tell you in the next post with one exception of Danne, whom I will tell first on the session since I don’t consider it that important the rest I can tell him about this. The rest of you that have the password will be able to read more in just an hour or so. And if Daniel figure out what is missing he’ll be able to read it too.
Best regards,
Herid Fel
