Exile Complete!
So we’ve finally completed Exile!
I’m not entirely sure how many sessions it took but I would guess about four or five. Anyway to begin the new year of 20101 and the LAN we completed Exile as one of the first things we did after the computers were set up.
Exile was a good game, even though not even close to Riven in my opinion. I’m not sure about Junior Boy’s opinion but I at least I think he enjoyed the game. Riven though felt more intimate with the world somehow and the history while Exile was more… distant in many ways according to me. The puzzles were challenging yes, but all in all I think Riven was harder and more challenging. I think that if I had played the game all by my self I would have completed it in one or maybe two nights.
Anyway, it’s over and Revelation is on the horizon. I shall just get my Revelation game going and then we’ll soon be able to play I think. I also must give credits to Junior Boy for four big realizations he made during our play that helped a lot, not to mention that he was the one actually solving the last riddle which I hadn’t even reached a conclusion myself on before he had already finished it all. Good job! To both of us, too, but most to Junior Boy I think =).
I look forward to Revelation even though I still feel that Cyan Worlds were much better than Ubisoft in making the Myst Games. But we’ll see if they make Revelation interesting.
Best regards,
Herid Fel
Yeah, I know this post is set in 2009, but you know why ↩
