Heroes and Events of AFC
Well, whatever happens to the group next we’ve still managed to meet two of the most prominent remade heroes/villains of Nianze, and in some ways you’ve met and seen more than one hero/vital event for Nianze future.
We have met and experienced the beginning of Halor, the first non-taraian to be trained as an initiate and become a holy warrior for Mars. We might see more of him in the future when he’ll be send away from Taraien on holy missions. Maybe even a close reappearance in Deben.
We also have brought a new special creature to Yurin whom will become a legendary being throughout the world. When he is released from the volcano in The Rim he is stuck in/at… hum, whatever. Softsmooth will one way or the other be released and at that point he’ll have healed up all his wounds and lost parts since he has been able to accumulate white tones during all these years he’ll be stashed away waiting for someone to release him from the volcano. But when he’ll come out, he will show the Hannje of Yurin a completely new level of Hannjism.
And we have Kabal, the Gajin and Grandmaster of the Shikár. In the next coming years he’ll be trying to unite all the clans even more than he has now. He’ll try to change the Shikár in various ways and all the “lost sheep” of the governments and the travelers that come to Taraien will probably sooner or later join the community “Kabal’s Apprentices” becoming one kind of in-between people of Taraien. They will be mixed up will Keishi Takfirs in the long run too, and Marjuls and even Sorath’Brizzt a.k.a South Brizzt and they will take over Suna Kujira Hamji and expand it and rebuild it with magic and call it “The Seat of Kabal, Kabanos”. Some more interesting stuff will occur in and around that city but that you’ll hear with other characters.
The only thing you’ll need to know is that Kabal will slowly, but surely, change the Shikár to accept him and some of his ways, even though they still will argue against him and disagree with him sometimes. The most important change for the Shikár he’ll bring about is a new way to gain the Katana. Now, you must fight and kill someone with a Katan in a honorable fire duel, but Kabal thinks that it’s necessary for the Shikár to be able to have warriors so all the Clan Order Masters of Fire will be able to test the strength of one who according to all the Masters of Fire in the clan deserves and have gained the skills necessary for the Katana alternatively they can go to Kabanos to face Kabal himself, without the approval of anyone in the clan, and test their skills against his. In any case, all the Katanas will be given to the Katana Wielders by Kabal with Mars watching in Kabanos, so all Katana Wielders must go to Kabanos. This will lead to most of the Orders making Kabanos the final destination for the last “graduation” for the order.
And so we have Shinji, oh my dear Shinji. Few know what powers he will wield and how far he will go and even if he’ll die by the hand of one Shikár that will be called Hellfire for the deed. Shinji is, stable, for now even though Shinji still have a radically different view of the world than all the Shikár which will change him and drive him to seek power and knowledge far outside the honor of the Shikár. Of all the NPC heroes and villains of this group, Shinji is by far the most interesting single-serving friend I’ve ever met.1 He will do revolutionary things and achieve new heights of skill making him even deadlier than Kadaji, and that only through pure skill and not like Kadaji; through charisma, devious plans, and artifacts beyond imagination. No Kadaji is just plain and simply evil with too much wits and charisma for his own good. And with a burning ambition that even makes Mars feel somewhat annoyed.
Shinji, future Shinji Taifire, is interesting beyond any other Shikár I’ve made up so far. Before he was just an renegade taraian with big swords but now he’s taken a completely new form which I’m very proud of. Shinji is also one of the characters I’m thinking of writing some kind of short story for when the group ends so people will know why so many Shikár wants him dead later and why Mars and Kabal is mostly amused by him, and also why he is called Taifire. Well, well… but before I can even begin that tale, I need to know what happens to Souichirou and if he will play any part in the transformation of Shinji to Taifire.
Well, well…
Best regards,
Herid Fel
