Good Initiative

I just wanted to say that Daniel’s decision to go against the group is one of the best initiatives I’ve seen in this group so far and by far the best initiative he has taken during his time as a player in my group.

I think this is the first time someone has, on his own accord  gone against the group without my explicit instructions or directive. And one more thing which make this even more special is the fact that he went against his own wishes knowing fully well that this might destroy an interesting opportunity for him and the group but he put his character first.

This is highly commendable and makes things a lot more interesting. It also gives me an opportunity to test his character traits and his own self-knowledge of his character.

In worst case scenario this might mean a split for Devon, or even worse, that he or someone else in the group will die. I myself hope that it will work it self out, even though I will mostly use this to create havoc and confusion to make this to an interesting opportunity so you can fix this by yourselves. If you all strive as players to fix this, you need to mix this with your characters in-game too.

My suggestion is that you in one way or another, chose if you want to fix this or not as a group or if you just want to see how it goes. If you choose to fix this out of game then you should decide on how this should be possible and then try to use your knowledge to without meta-gaming try to control the group to that destination, which I promise you, will be a really hard thing to do.

So do you take the challenge or do you just try to play it out and see how it goes?

I dont really see how this could be fixed and still continue towards macabre since things will just escalate the closer we get to macabre.

And if I want to fix this? Hmm well yes because otherwise it would probably mean a group split which is not the end of the world but it will be hard making a group after macabre if people survive it that is(I havent given it that much thought at the moment of writing but the only solution I see so far is probably turning back from macabre, maybe someone else has some bright idea =)?).

Otherwise it was nicely played =) , think its the first time someone actually tried to oppose my mad schemes =P.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, hence the late reply. I agree with PB that I can’t really see this ending well with moving forward. Not with Devon still on the roster atleast. Since even if he changes his mind about forcefully stopping the group there will be a lot of landmines along the way. Many could conceivably be avoided but unless I turn into a stupid blond paladin that runs off whenever I become inconvenient to the group I see no way of avoiding them all.

I have no idea how to ‘fix this’ (fix as in making Devon go along with it all). I have ideas of what to do next, but it is not something I will post here. Who knows, maybe there is a ‘happy ending’ out there? 😛

I can’t wait for the continuation.
