Ramble XLV

At first when I began this post I wrote a short story but after about half a page I decided that it wasn’t good enough so I scrapped it. It’s really is hard to get the inspiration and motivation for a short story without a proper amount of caffeine in my system. Sometimes I get a spurt but I have been sleeping badly or at bad hours rather and eating worse so I guess this is what I get for not eating properly.

The short story was just from the perspective of a regular employee at the Magun Embassy walking out on some errands in the city. Going through the regular places and thinking about what he saw, reflecting in an indirect kind of way that would give some perspective. But not far through the beginning I thought the grammar and the feel of the text was wrong so I decided to stop it. I could easily write it in English but I seldom write short stories in English anymore for several reasons. The main reason is that the rules for writing is different plus that if I English is better suited for Nianze overall since I changed some of its nature.

Well, one day, and that day may never come, I will go to Kvantum and buy a board of Energy Drinks. Until that day, I think I will have to wait before I try to continue with the Myths. Chapter six is really hard work. I thought chapter five was hard, oh who was I kidding chapter six is really hard. And in some ways chapter six is harder than chapter seven will be. But chapter seven will take the longest if I’m not on a streak. But hey, who cares since nobody is commenting and giving feedback I assume that the interest on Nianze Prehistoric history isn’t all that interesting after all.

I’ve been working quite a lot with associations lately. A lot for ÖN and WANO, and some for my own association even though it’s mostly a one-man operation. Right now I’m mostly involved with helping WANO to get back on their feet again and if things go smoothly; this time they will have a proper organization instead of the mediocre joke for an organization they had under the growing clown of Magnus.

Yeah, I guess everybody knows this but it’s worth mentioning. Our former player, even though it was very brief and also former board member of the Original WANO I controlled, Emil Karlsson, took his life this weekend. Well, I don’t think anyone was close enough to him to really take some damage of his death in the group but anyway he was with us and so his characters will make us remember him. His first character was Lean’Diel who later became the Leader of Sancho. I have now recreated him if you are interested to know and he’s actually one of the very first Xin’Ar instead. And just when I’m at it; Idd is one of the first Xinn’Er. One of his more memorable characters though is Arctos, the Chaos Mage that made improvised fire storms and ended up a rock of obsidian in the dungeon of the Grave of Ikshar.

Now to something completely different; it was SNOW outside my window today when I opened the blinds. SNOW! I hate snow! Or at least when I don’t want it, which is almost always except for when I’m in the mountains wanting to ski or up on the Serpent Hill wanting to take a lap or two with my cross-country skis. It should be forbidden to snow south of the Arctic Circle in my opinion, or at least below 1000 meters above the sea level.

Well, well… I guess that was it then, can’t find anything else to talk about for the moment so I think this is it. Have a good night.

Best Regards,
Herid Fel
