Crystal of the Dark Age

This is the invite I will soon post and also put up in Iocus for people to sign up for.
Most likely I’ll have you try it, some time. But well, we’ll see…
For now I just like your opinions, what do you think, is it appealing?

Crystal of the Dark Age

Every nation has its ages. There is always a golden age, an age where everything is close to perfect. I hate ages like that.

Perfection is overrated.
Peace is overrated.
Prosperity is overrated.
Freedom is overrated.

I savor war, I savor death, I savor devastation. Life cannot be appreciated if we don’t have that darkness. It cannot, and should not, be fair and just.

But this, this is too much. This is not living, this is slowly fading away into nothingness as we are being devoured be the Makár. Our race is vanishing, our history is vanishing, and our lives are slowly being forgotten. This is the Dark Age, and we are the ones responsible. We have, in the end, caused our own extinction.

May we rest in peace.

– Captain Torres Shank of the Lost Army

The world has fallen to the vicious Makár. They appeared from beyond the Dark Marshes and they enslaved and oppressed all the people of Decoria. There is no resistance left, there is no hope left and everyone is just waiting to die or struggling to live under the Makár. This is the darkest hour for the people of Decoria and the last chance to save the world.

In this dark world you’ll play the last heroes and the last hope for salvation for Decoria. A young priest, the last priest of the monastery of Decoria, has had a vision of the last hope and set out on the final journey to save Decoria from the Makár, a monstrous people who prey on humans and totally disregard everything else other than their own lust for power and their desire for pleasure.

In this world the heroes aren’t the shining knights with morals as pure as a baby’s dreams, they are the egocentric survivalists of the Dark Age who sometimes do what is necessary for survival and not what is right and just. They will do what is required of them, but struggle with the world and themselves as they do it.

The world have mostly forgotten about freedom and hope has almost completely disappeared. People have adjusted and is used to the oppression and some even work for the Makár to be able to survive as long as possible in this dark world. You can’t really trust anyone and you can’t expect that the people you’ll be saving will even understand what you’re doing.

The campaign is planned to be four session’s á five to six hours each. The system that will be used will be a simplified version of Nianze. The characters will be pre-made and you’ll only have to choose a role that appeals to you the most. There’ll be about eight different characters to choose from and the group will consist of three to five players.

Would you apply to this?

Best regards,

Well it definitely sounds like something I would like to play.
I think the text gave an good impression of what to expect of the campaign and yet it didnt give away too much either.

Abit boring to be left out like some second-hand when some people have been aware of this for weeks.

Hahaha, kawaii sou na. Well, Ankan is one of the first people I turn to when I need opinions to text of this kind. And also, he is the only one who actually can put my arguments into context without twisting them in some wierd manner like you or Daniel.

Not to mention that you are very bad pointing out what you think about a text in a constructive way.

Doesnt matter , the point was of not even letting us know about it , not even giving us a chance to comment and now when it suits you , you decide to post it and expect answers ,kinda lame.

But well , its youre blog , you do as you wish ,just drops the mood of posting if youre gonna keep second-handing stuff.

Haha, pratcice make perfect. And since this text is going outside our “circle” therefore I need to prepare it a little more. Thus, turning to my most reliable source in this area; Ankan.
