A New Group – Travels in Iijavin

So a new group is forming it seems. I’m not really sure if we’ll continue with X-files but we’ll see I guess. For now I’m creating a small campaign within the lost world of Iijavin, a world that was supposed to be the new Nianze but since it totally failed it just became an lost dream and some wasted money which I mostly transferred to my own New Nianze.

Some background; about six years ago I decided that the Square Nianze wasn’t that good anymore since all it’s illogical flaws were bugging me to no end. I needed some new structure and at that time Jonas were still on the Project and I had newly made friends with Foppa and started to know him so I asked him if he were interested since he seemed to be very knowledgeable about history, society and shit I didn’t care about.

Before Foppa joined, about six, or eight months before Jonas and I hired an internet artist to paint some base characters and races for Nianze and when we started this project we had him to make a digital map and some more characters for this new epic world with a new history we were creating. The base idea for this country was a Great Empire inspired by Nordic Mythology with Odin as the Emperor. The world has just survived a major war which had almost killed all of the Humans and the world was mostly populated by creatures called Brizzt. West Brizzt¹ and East Brizzt².

Iijavin was supposed to be a high epical world with a dark force appearing and the empires shattering when the “storyline” was supposed to begin. The main concept of Iijavin was the usual fight against the darkness but also a fight for survival when a god would ascend and threatens to destroy the world if the evil could not be eradicated.

This time though I will do something more towards The Final Empire – Mistborn for this campaign. Not a rip-off but something very similar in the base concept. The word will have an evil emperor, Odin, and things are going bad. So you could say that I mix Mistborn plus Trizon in the setting but not as complicated more like an evil lord of doom and darkness that needs to be brought down.

If things go as planned and I’m satisfied with the new Iijavin maybe I’ll reinstate the Iijavin as a permanent parallel Universe for The World of Nianze. But well, one thing at a time I guess…
