Ramble XXXII
The past week has indeed been full of events. A lot has happened and I’ve been busy almost every waking hour this week. And the few moments I’ve had to myself have been really needed to be able to have energy to continue with everything else that’s happening too.
Well, it’s been worth it and now it’s finally over. That’s kind of nice even though I miss my Sara and Mimmi, but I need some time to cool down and to have some moments for myself and not just running around like a confused Rasmus. Not to mention that all role-play outside TA has been halted which in many aspects aren’t good. But ever since Ankan said he couldn’t manage to my first estimation then I scrapped my whole plan and took it down a notch instead, not that it really matters.
Something really unexpected this week was that I this Wednesday found myself in a bar in the city. Me, in a bar! Can you imagine that? I have a hart time to do this and I didn’t thought I would be there. But if it weren’t for Chris I would never have been there and never have stayed either.
Chris is the American I hosted this week and during Wednesday when the Germans had gone he spent most of the day alone and then started to spend time with Ilja and his sambo Julia in the evening. He suddenly called me and wanted to do something and after many but and if we ended up in my place (not according to our original plan, it was more an escape to my place). Here we watched movies and ate some snacks until Ilja and Julia went home because they were working in the morning. Then Chris wanted to go to a bar, pub or club in the city since it was his last day in Sweden and he hadn’t been to one so we decided to take the opportunity of “Little Saturday” and see what we could find.
This is how I soon found myself inside of Allstars with Chris. The plan was only to grab a drink and maybe go home but once again the plan failed when we two hours later started to walk back home, I wasn’t really drunk but I wasn’t even close to sober if I put it like that. Even though I didn’t pay any drinks or entry fee people offered me drinks all the time and you got to taste this and that.
If you are a guy with an afro and a guy with a huge hat in a bar like this you obviously get a lot of attention. I know that my Afro attracts some attention and that it’s easy to find people to talk to in places like that thanks to the afro but I didn’t imagine it would be like this in a real place. Not to mention that I met some people I haven’t met since ninth grade. Anton Andersson, Arvid Jönsson, Rickard Gerdin, Fredrik1 and Tobias Aronsson. I talked a little with them and I heard from Arvid that obviously I have a pretty good reputation on CouchSurfing since he’s been surfing in Australia and met a guy who knew me and spoke well of me. I’m still confused over this but glad at the same time. Having a good reputation on CouchSurfing is good, but I don’t understand how. I feel like just an average host.
Well, other than this I’ve been working in the shop Monday to Thursday helping Kjell with everything and I even opened the shop on Wednesday which was new, but not that hard nor exciting. It’s a leap of faith from Kjell but he’s stated a lot of times that he kind of trusts me, which from him is quite much when he’s even more distrusting than I am which says a lot I think.
Well, and now, finally back to normal again… or is it? Maybe something has changed, or maybe it hasn’t… who can tell?
Best regards,
Herid Fel
I don’t really remember his last name, I think it was Fredriksson but I’m not 100 ↩
