Read or Die
Is an anime series, but I think the title was appropriate for the post. Or maybe not, but whatever, I felt for it anyway =P. I’ve been reading a lot lately and it seems like I’ll soon run out of books which are properly written. Or rather, in a good format. Right now I’m reading The Shadows Rising as an E-book but the format on this E-book is terrible so I need something better if this is going to work.
Well, due to this it’s all slowing down a little but I’m still reading in this horrible format so I won’t stop here. I will finish the series this time and I think this is the 20th something time I’ve read the entire series in a row, thus reading all books (from 1-9) in a row at the same time. So all the runs before this when I read from 1-6 over and over until the next book was released is not included. But I’m not sure at all anymore how many times I’ve read it. It’s too hard to count.
This time tough I actually DO se things in another perspective and actually notice things more than in all the previous full-runs. Well, I did notice most things but I didn’t try to picture everything as a whole as I’ve done this time. Not in the same way at least and the book have been much more interesting than before. Especially since I found a detail which I had completely forgotten about until now.
And the more I read the more I’m convinced that Brandon most likely will ruin some things just by being involved in this project. For me I think nobody will ever be better than Jordan thus always being compared with him when it comes to world building and writing novels. I will always have him as my role model when I write and I will most likely try to adapt more of his writing to mine. But that is how it always has been, even tough I first used Jan Risheden’s translations as model for my writing rather than the more correct version in the English books.
Well, I don’t have money to buy books right now so I will leech on PB and Foppa until I get to the part where I myself have the books. Which is Winter’s Heart. So right now I only need to borrow 4 books and then I’ll be able to read my hardbound books… I actually have A Path of Daggers in pocket but that’s no joy to read unless I absolutely have to, which I don’t.
Well, well…
