Dungeon Bashing – Follow-up

So we’ve started the dungeon and as always things aren’t as easy to predict the time frame of as I think it is. When I made the dungeon (and its limits) I was afraid that the dungeon would be too quick to get through and maybe boring. But then again I thought the same for the chamber of Ukun but both worked out pretty well. I guess that this once again proves that it’s mostly up to the group and its game master to make it interesting and fun and not just to the structure.

Question is though if some more flexibility with the dungeon would be in order. Like with your first foe, the Djinni in the pool. There isn’t a lot of ways of defeating him, but maybe I should have been more flexible, I don’t know. Either way I think it was good since I must say that some of you actually forgot a lot of things about how to do stuff.

But something I must say is that Foppa did an excellent job yesterday. I think that he did the highlight scene, which we all had a pretty good laugh at. Even though it’s not going fast forward I can see your characters becoming more stable and concrete but I still want to say that you absolutely need to think more about your challenges or maybe we should skip in total, I don’t know.

Well, if you are lucky we might be able to continue this evening (19-23). But that is of course if people have the energy and will to play. I’m not sure yet if I want to exhaust myself with three possibly four days in a row with RPG, but well. Let’s see if there’s any interest first.

Best regards,

Well , about the djinni , I think it felt abit to early to put an enemy like that directly at the start , atleast I was hoping on stepping more than one foot into the dungeon before coming to a stop.
Otherwise I think it is a good encounter and seems pretty well balanced , except that I think his negative modifiers on avoiding his attacks were abit high , but maybe that was just me.

About playing today , im up for it. Got both the will and energy.

Haha, I do not agree with you on this point for several, to me obvious and to you not so obvious reasons… (yet)

He was an hard enemy. And if you think about it, most of those who were combantants actualy dodged him quite nicely without too much effort.

Of course you do. Well I’m not sure yet so let’s wait and se what the others (except Foppa) says.

Yea, I had a lot of fun yesterday and I definitely have the will to play tonight. And energy should not be a problem.

I agree with PB about the penalties on dodging the Djinni’s attacks, considering how long that fight could drag on I think it’s sort of uncalled for. Atleast, they are a bit high.

I do not agree to this. I do not have the energy to write why in english right now, but I must say that if you really think so then something is wrong somewhere. Either way it makes me disappointed to see that you think so, and what more is that you didn’t say it after the fight when I asked for opinions, but as usual you seldom say anything without me dragging it out of you…

I did say something when you asked for opinions…. I just couldn’t think of any meaningful feedback then.

Either way it’s an afterthought… When you asked for opinions I was trying to think of something to say about the big picture of the session rather than focusing on the fight.

I’m sorry if you find that dissapointing.

Good flow in the battle, it was fun to play but got a bit duller when approaching the end.

I do have the will and energy to play tonight, but unfortunately not the time. We are having people over for dinner and then there are exams tomorrow morning. Sorry.

Either you play without me… (darn, not again) …or we wait until Tuesday or something.

So when I ask for one opinion I only get a general opinion and not the specifics… Well, then I might as well stop asking and just worry about my own satisfaction if you can’t give proper feedback.

I’m sorry if you find that dissapointing.

    Right, like you care.

And what disappoints me is not that you don’t give me feedback. I’ve stoped expecting anything big from the others, and I expect less from you that still hasn’t (if ever) gotten into the same spirit as the rest of the group.

The reason to why I’m slightly disappointed is that even though I have tried to explain over and over again how my vision is and how things should work according to me you still fail to see things objectively before I’ve explained over and over again like a thousand times.

But well, soon I’m loosing hope in explaining anything to anyone since my explanations seems to be lost on most of you. That’s what disappoints me.

No, we won’t play without you. As you saw the last fight you are most likely one of the most important people in this Dungeon.

    Well, well…

Then I will relax and take it easy today.
