Pre-Sessions Complete
Or at least almost, PB and Foppa have a little, little bit left to do but since we where short on time yesterday I think that they can do this the next group-talk-session. Which will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday.
The last thing left before we are ready to continue is to tie up the ends about how you all met and for how long you’ve been together and how you relationship is and a momentary group-goal for the coming sessions as well as requests and wishes for the first Arc of A Fierce Country as the group will be called. You will also be provided with your equipment and money or the like.
After the discussion and the choices and stuff that session will end, we will not start playing on the same day. But I have my eventual thoughts on giving you one starter session before I go away with my sister for a couple of days. This tough depends on the time and space given the next week. I preferably have this group discussion on Wednesday but if that isn’t possible then it will be Tuesday and most likely I will take a few days break after that instead and therefore you’ll have to wait with the sessions to after my trip.
I’ve planned to have maybe one duo-session before the actual start. Which if we assume we have the group session on Wednesday and the Starter Session on Thursday then we will have two sessions the next week, one with Ankan and Danne and another with Foppa and PB, this is not decided yet though since I could as well postpone this to after the first arc. The only reason I would do this is because you might want to have a “trial run” with your characters before we actually get starting. But then again the Starter Session might be enough for that.
As for the Starter Session there are a few alternatives. Either we play an actual event or the actual starting point from which everything will thereafter unfold OR we play something completely different which won’t have anything to do with your characters; the only thing that will have any effect on you is the AP gain and losses you might gain during that session.
This tough is completely up to you, as well as the Duo-Sessions. You will as usual be in charge of the sessions, which I hope I’ll see more than just one doing the session requests, and I might call sessions if I’m in a really good mood or something weird. Not that you can request a single session at any time if you feel a need to do so.

I would prefer to play the actual event or the starting point, not the separate thing i think.
Hmmm, I think I’m good without the duo sessions. I don’t really mind having them though…

Well im available for a “get together” session on wednesday around 18-19 if people can make it that day.
About the duo sessions I would like to have them sooner than later , but thats just my choice.
As for the starter session , Im leaning more towards this “completely different” thing , since I preferably would like the duo sessions before. But I guess its either up to the group or Oskar(autocracy =) to make that choice.

I think I prefer duo sessions first as well, personally I think it would be better for trying to get into my character.

“different thing” will be like cluedo was for me the last time.
Also, maybe playing the duo sessions first would be best, so perhaps we could have one of the groups have their duo session this week instead of a starter-type thing?
Wouldn’t call it a “get together” session as I said… rather a group-talk-session. And get together sounds silly and stupid.

This is not a sooner or later question. The Duo-Session is something to get the group started and to have you to play before all of you gather together, this all depends on what we play on the Starter Session tough, if anything.
That is what the Starter Session is for. The Duo-sessions were for more personal involvement and even more elaboration of your characters but only with one other player involved.
And why is that? If it’s not the actual thing you still have room to change and alter things you didn’t like in the starter session.
And why is that? Just because or do you have a reason?
This is NOT the point… The Duo Sessions have nothing to do with this. Either way the duo sessions is only to continue with your characters to prepare them.
Well, that only proves that you of all people are in need of a “different thing” since you really need to focus on the character and NOT the setting in which he is in. ANd if it becomes a new “cluedo-foppa-syndrome” then there is something you really, really need to work on if you just can’t put yourself in a situation and act and react from that which is quite basic for a role-player if you ask me, but then again I am crazy obviously…
Nope, not possible, will not happen. That is not my intentions and not my plan. Either we have a starter session or we don’t your choice. No Duo-sessions this week.
You have a point there.
The reason to why I wish to play the real thing is that I wan’t to begin playing. And not something completely unrelated, but something relevant to the story. When I think about it though, as the others have stated it might be better to have the dual sessions before the start. But I suspect it would work the other way around also since it would likely be like the single sessions between arcs.
Read A Fierce Country and then we’ll decide what to do or not to do. The choice is in the hands of majoritiy. I have proposed to you three alternatives and the consequenses. Now it is for the group to pick and choose and the rest to follow.
It means that I’m flexible, I just didn’t see much benefit in having them as I am fairly confident that I don’t want to change anything. And if I would want to change anything it’d be in regard to my longterm goals no doubt. So if it’s “sooner or later” it doesn’t really matter to me which of them we end up going with.
Because I think that something that “has to do with our characters” sounds better. Obviously I have no idea what “something completley different” is, and so I made a judgement based on what I did know.
Well , I have read the AFC post now and I still vote for the different thing.
