There is really nothing to say…

. . .

Or so I say. There is always something to say but you could always say that there isn’t.

The day that has passed was my birthday, a day one once held dear and looked forward to. Now it’s mostly considered a mark to count the years to the end and a day to try to use (or abuse) the modern tradition of presents for my own benefit.

I do not think highly of this day actually, but then again I am me. Some of the days are worth celebrating like all the years up to 18 and then 20 and then there are but two more days left in once life worth celebrating. 25 and the end1. Other than that you celebrate if you have something to celebrate not just for the sake of celebrating.

This is actually a pretty funny thing to talk about because in role-playing games tradition is something I’m trying to imprint with dates, days and ceremonies. But in real life I despise and hate most celebrations. They are mostly useless and I don’t see any purpose in these. Even so I study most of them just to make them into something in RPG.

Is this hypocritical? I don’t really think so. The ceremonies’ have grown forward from everything I use in RPG but as I create gods and magic doesn’t mean I believe in it in reality. It’s a fascinating thing and it’s beautiful if it holds any meanings. Most ceremonies are actually mostly tradition people and humans clinch to because we are born and raised this way.

Well, I decided that the next Short Story to A Dark Life will be a post-story, taking place after the events of the session. Partly because there wouldn’t that interesting to write anything before and partly because I only have short uninteresting scenes or spoiler-scenes to build upon right now.

I ordered a 42” LCD-TV with Full-HD today. It will most likely arrive one or two weeks from now and after that my living room will most likely be pretty complete. My living room almost looks like a living room you would expect from a normal person now I think.

Although I like to have as little stuff as possible, I still think this is pretty nice and I really like what my living room have became. The only problem now is that it’s now so expensive and neatly furnished that I will probably be much less tolerant than before. But I think you already noticed that with my warning in the previous post =).

Well, all the upgrades in my living room will suffice as a compensation for Japan. As soon as my TV-arrives I will have spent about the same amount of money on the upgrades as I would have on the living and travelling expenses2. All in all I think it looks great.

Well, well, let’s kill you all tomorrow then =), speaking of which… this Monday The Outsiders3 had their first casualty. TNT died being digested by my new monster I’ve created for the Jungles of Sancho =).

Well, well… time to clean up from my dinner.

Best regards,
Herid Fel
