A Dark Life – Phase One

And so the first phase has ended and we’re still alive… or something like that. The next phase, Schooling, will provide more freedom and some new aspects, I think, of the Vampires. This will also introduce the last part of the pre-vampire state which you most likely won’t re-play any time soon. If you decide to play a vampire in the future the pre-sessions and your “growing-up” events will consist of mainly events in your past life (the one where you were alive) and events that will distinguish you from other vampires. But I think it will take longer to create a vampire since you will have to have two separate lifes before you’ll start playing and you might want to choose your Abilities too and maybe Family and all that stuff which you still haven’t been introduced to…

But now to the single sessions, which are more current since Danne is beginning tomorrow. During the single-sessions we will go through the first phase. Everything that has happened to your character and your characters development from past to present.

After we’ve lined up everything and talked a little about this we will proceed with changes. Change your skills or abilities if you think you want to change anything or just add stuff which you’ve forgotten or something you’ve changed your mind about. This will NOT be the final changes of these kind, we will do it ONE more time in the end of the second phase. And that time will be the last chance to change anything. Note that all changes won’t be accepted or possible.

Then we will describe and develop your personality a bit more. Your thoughts or workings and I will also give my opinions on your persona of your vampires and your way to play them and we will discuss this. As most of you know, my style of playing my game is to know almost everything about your characters. If I cannot predict or know vital stuff I cannot control the game so it have a real and good flow which is suited for everyone.

After this you will all choose five vampiric abilities of the ones Sinder offers you and you will also get a number of Blood Points to use to develop your vampire. You will also get a amount of AP to spend in improving yourself in some ways. Most of these will be focused on the properties or the skills which you’ve used so far. Skills, which your character yet hasn’t discovered that he has, will not be possible to modify.

When this is done you might add some details and question about the past eight months. With details I mean you can say something like; I will always try to do this or this or I will be more and more like this, or I will try to be as good a vampire as possible. This is something that you try or want to do during the months will I will take into account when I manage my summary of the eight months to all of you when we start on Saturday.

With questions you will be able to ask question concerning the first phase, from your own as well as your vampires’ point of view. Things that you want your vampire to know which you should have known by now or things you want to know or at try to know more about.

So I want you to think about all that has happened so far, how it have affected and changed your character and what you want to develop to in these months. Note that your personalities MUST be changed to the more sadistic and masochistic character. And you must also know that your psyche has evolved or matured. You are more matured say around 25ish if you can manage to play that out well. But that doesn’t mercenarily mean that you will become Einstein, only a character with a wider perspective and more experience and a personally which is somewhat changed by your complete turning.

It is possible to completely change personalities of your character. Some vampires change personalities, subconsciously when they turn to full vampires, but this is just a possibility and a choice you can make.
