The Dark Time

The Dark Time has come!

The light of night will glow the way as the obstruction will shatter it.

Through fire and flames lay the answer of the question not asked.

Gods will die.

Heavens will fall.

The Two who is One will turn as the one who is two will return.

Masks will fall and the war will be fought on the ground of the dead.

Imminent is Death, but true is oblivion.

During the night all that have been forgotten will be brought back in the shapes of the new world.

The Blind will lead the Sword!

The Sword will ride the Spear!

The Spear will Follow the Fire!

The Fire will forever be cursed!

And the One will once again emerge from hiding.

Flee now!

Scream now!

But oh True God, it is too late!

There is no salvation!

Only redemption!

And then there was silence…

Is this Zarek’s prophecy? It seems like that atleast since I can find several things fitting that story.

I actually really liked this line, nice twist:

The Two who is One will turn as the one who is two will return.

I would guess that “the one who is two” is Areina the two-blood, and the two who is one is Zarek and the wolf… Zark? Or what was the name?

Then we also have the references to the blind… Zarek.
Don’t really understand this, but Zarek was blind and he had a spear… A rather special one.

The Blind will lead the Sword!
The Sword will ride the Spear!

A question, is “Follow” really supposed to have a capitalized ‘F’?

The Spear will Follow the Fire!

Well, well. Some things in that prophecy sounded really good actually and equally confusing. Some elements to recognize but in general just a blur. Which I guess is the point.

Oh, and then we have all this with fire that could have something to Zarek visiting Taraien…

And there should be more than this, some more prophecies. I don’t think this contains everything that was hinted upon in the short story The Blue Ice.

If the prophecy was right, this was the last time he would lose his vision and this time it was for good. The Holy Blinding! It must be the Two-Blood!

Seems like a lot to get out of this prophecy. Though the turning that he is supposed to do when Areina arrives seem to be to turn blind…

There was much to be done; even though they still missed the White Wolf half of the prophecy had been fulfilled. The human girl, born out of a Brizzt, had arrived.

The white would also seem to be missing here…

In the story Zarek seem to be able to prophecise quite a lot, so there could be some other source for the rest.

    Hehe, yes, indeed… *Smiles mystically*

    And then there was silence…

Are these words part of the actual prophecy, or is it just an indication of that it was quiet afterwards?

It is a part of it, yes.
