Sudden Changes
Sometimes changes sneak up on one and other times you see it coming and feel it as it changes, slowly so slowly. I can warn you, something sudden has changed, but I will not tell you what. You will have to figure out that for yourselves if you even think it concerns you, otherwise it won’t be a tragedy if you won’t.
But changes don’t necessarily mean that something will change. Strange, isn’t it? But to more elaborate; sometimes change doesn’t affect us in the way that it should or affect all of our lives. It might affect a small portion of it but not all. So a change doesn’t mean that there will be a change for everyone.
I feel that this post will be short, most likely not too much more after this comment. However speaking of changes I’ve just reached the end of Code Geass season one and a great event that happened there in the last three (or four episodes, depending on how you see it) changed everything. The series was good, really good even. But not the best I had seen until this. It still isn’t the best, Witch Hunter Robin still stands in this place, but it jumped drastically up to my top five if not even top three animations.
This is will be hard to understand for some, but actually if you know what I appreciate in animation and in series in general you should know that things that have me touched, that really moves me emotionally or even renders me speechless in horror or shock of what just happened is something I evaluate more than other things. If something is able to really gain that much empathy without going outside of the series settings then it’s something special. This makes Code Geass to probably one of the most original animations of the 21st century I’ve ever seen. Though it strongly resembles the Gundam series. It’s like a combination of Gundam SEED and Death Note.
I wonder what the future holds. Something tells me that things will get confusing soon and sudden changes will appear like everywhere. I might just have started an avalanche I cannot stop. Sometimes when you are striving for something and aren’t fully aware of the effects of your work then it might become bigger than you suspected. And that is what I suspect right now. I might have written my own death sentence. But its okay, I will live until the end =).
Best regards,
Herid Fel
