Dexter – 3×02 – Finding Freebo
I don’t really know what to say about this episode other than it really worries me.
The thing about the Dexter series that makes it so interesting is his attitude and the way the story is unfolding. This late episode felt a little… I can’t really put it in words but it felt almost floating. Like they tried to put too many new things into the air and then rumbling it up into a sick kind of mess.
It’s not bad, not yet, but it somehow were pretty low on the Dexter feeling. It felt to hasty and less Dexterish. Like his daydreams in the episode felt completely out of place. It almost felt like something taken out of Scrubs or maybe even Two and a half men.
Dexters ‘companionship’ with this Miguel is finally getting clearer though, even if it isn’t really what I expected, not yet. This relationship that is building up is something more… illogical or something. Well, it worries me…
Well, this far into the second season Lila had started to worry me as well but that season turned out alright in the end so I hope this was just my scepticism and that it will be better later.
Best regards,
Herid Fel
