A Possible Short Story 4

I’m not sure if I’m really up to write this anymore, the scene has somewhat been dulled in my mind but hopefully I can still do this. This is not a short story that is as important as Pushing the Limits, this story is written within my limits though it wouldn’t hurt to get some feedback on this post, rather the opposite. I have entered a suggestional weekend schedule for role-playing which breaks against my own rule, but this is an exception to speed things up just before next week when it won’t be as much time to play when I need to prepare the adventure for the campaign.

Okay, I just erased about half a page of a meeting between some gods. I didn’t really get it out right and it felt a little bit too… forced. I guess the mystique is gone and the idea has escaped me. I should know better than to let good ideas flee when they are hot. Though there might be a day when it comes back, like the part with Zarek and Areina, that had been going on for ages, but I put it to text very recently.

Something I’ve noticed when I write is that I still have a real hard time writing conversations in a good way. I’m not really sure how to do it and my observations of how Jordan and how Brandon (the most recent authors who’s books I’ve read) haven’t been enough. I need to know how to write when it’s mostly a conversation piece. I know the more amateurs’ way, the easy breaking every thing down to paragraphs, but I want to be a little better in those matters.

Now some of you might feel fooled, you open up a post named A Possible Short Story, and well, it was a possible short story. I didn’t guarantee it, right? Well, I will write something else instead then.

I’ve thought a little about how this association of ours will work, how it should work. Who will do what and so on. Because of David’s lack of interest of involvement in the association and Foppa’s lack of enthusiasm and interest for the matter as well, it seems like we will split the matter between the three of us (Ankan, Me and PB). This should be enough for our activity but as I’ve clearly stated, I intend to share the tasks in this association and without making it too complicated for any of us three.

The main task of an Accountant in an association is to keep an eye on the budget, economics and everything concerning that. He should also be the one mainly, to deal with the money and to look over and advise over the investments. This can clearly slow down things a bit, but it’s Ankan we talk about, so it won’t. If I could reach anyone quicker in this association it would only be myself. Even so, when I will handle matters by myself – which I will try to refrain from doing – I will inform Ankan of this just in case and also inform at the next meeting.

The main task of our secretary, PB, will be to keep track on things. Oh my, you might think now, but it won’t be that hard. My idea is to really let you keep all the papers concerning the association and to sort them, get them signed and to have them prepared =). This isn’t hard at all, it’s just handling papers and I think you should be able to do this, even though about half of the workings of the association will depend on it. This will most likely mean having to deal with protocols and such.

I myself will still deal with the study-circles for several reasons. To begin with I am acquainted with the ladies in the ABF-office and know how to smooth them. And to continue I think I is the only one in the association with knowledge and will enough to actually do the dirt talking on paper. Making words sound profound and right for our cause. I will also make sure things will be done and as always, decide most things. I won’t do it without your approval of course, but I doubt that anyone will have any opinions or something to say… It’s always like that, even though one wish that people would try to be more… don’t know the word right now, but do something, they don’t. They just sit there and say; All is well… but they can ALWAYS complain on something but never come with an opinion unless forced or lead to do so. So please, feel free to voice your opinions, I do.

For the moment we will focus on Role-Play and Go, and maybe we’ll make something different out of it.

Best regards,
