Sessions Update

So, I thought I should update this so people would know better, I HOPE you read this.

Let me first categorize some sessions, we have group sessions (containing more than one player) and we have single-sessions (containing less than two players). I think it’s appropriate to divide these into two categories.

Group Sessions
These sessions, one of you may call on any day. You might ask the others if this day fits or not before posting a comment, however how you contact the others I don’t care about as long as the post gets up here. You might just post a suggestion here and the others will reply if the can’t. This assumes that everybody checks the sessions-page every once in a while. This unfortunately could be every six-months or so depending on some players…
However, the important thing about these sessions is that I want you to say that you want a group session and which day and time. Then we have three options; a day session, an evening session or a whole day session.

The day session can start around 11-13 as long as I’m not busy before. If I have an activity on the morning, no matter how brief, only if it’s in the Event Calendar, then we can only start 13, not earlier. The day session will most likely stop around 18-19.

The evening session is the same as the day session, starts around 17-19 and if I’ve something to do during the day (12-17) then we will start 19 and no earlier. It will stop around 23-00, everything depending to my material and preparations.

The whole day session needs a lot of preparation and will to play. I would like that you decide when you write here which kind of session. It might be hard to “just continue” from a day session and make it a whole day session. I need to be able to think things through before the session so I can make my preparations. Complete improvisation is nothing I want to do when the risk for failure is so great. A whole day session can start about the same time as the day session and end around the same time as the evening session. Night sessions will most likely not happen too often. I will stop before that for several reasons, even if I have material left to play.

Single Sessions
There is a much more complex ruleset here. So the general categories of single-sessions are pre-sessions and single-sessions, although it might be a big difference between different single-sessions. A single-session that is group-related that is necessary for the group to move forward and there are those when we develop your character by going back into your past or do something around your character to help define it. Note that the sessions related to the group sessions are very different indeed…

The pre-sessions are three sessions when we create your character. If needed they will be more than three but it’s the process of creating it. It might take a different amount of time each time but I have some things that we are supposed to do each time and then let you continue to ponder a few things before we move the concept forward to its completion. Just know that you shouldn’t take too much time between these sessions when your character is developing or the thoughts, ideas will be lost for both of us an the concept will go cold. I won’t like that, and therefore you SHOULDN’T take a week to ponder something before the next session. I rather see that you do it as quickly as possible, like one day or two between the sessions, at most.

Single sessions can be a day or evening session. But to make it easy I always say either 13-17 or 19-23 and I also say that I want one day in-between each session. So you might play on a Tuesday and then on a Thursday the same week. Not Tuesday and Wednesday. How many sessions you play doesn’t matter, just that it’s a day in-between them. You can also only play one session a day. I myself am often willing to play two single-sessions a day. So I can play with two people a day. But, if it’s a single-session tied to the group I prefer to have it done as quickly as possible so we can continue with the group, then it doesn’t matter too much when you play.

So well, one last thing then. I prefer everything going on here. If all are gathered in a room then it doesn’t matter. But the thing is that the sessions page is meant for the rest to know what’s happening and when so they should be able to plan eventual dates and so forth when they want to play. But I can’t say directly after a session when we will play next time either, because I don’t know if I will have the energy then. Therefore, this page is vital. I will post this is a regular post so I’m SURE you doesn’t miss it. Even though, those of you that ignores the blog still will…
