A Possible Short Story

And then we go on to the next subject. Obviously the third time counts, or whatever you use to say when you actually manage to pull something of for the third time. I thought about writing a Short Story in this post and I’ve still haven’t decided so I guess you just have to open this post to se if I finally decided to write something or not. Even so, if you really read what I write then you will probably open this post anyway.

“Are you sure you are going to leave?” asked the elf harshly.

“Yes, I intend to leave soon after midnight,” he answered without turning from the mirror. He was making sure that everything was in the right place, every strap tighten and every crystal in place.

“She won’t be pleased with this rash decision my lord. Not to mention that you will most likely loose the little respect you have left amongst the nobles.” The elf answered staring at his back. He could feel his cold eyes trying to penetrate his mind with his will. He sighed and turned around to face the elf.

“Actually, I most likely haven’t had any respect from the nobles in the last few years and without being the rightful hair of the throne or king I can’t have much control either. This way Lanticka will have a king… or Queen in due time.” He started to walk out of the chamber and the elf followed after him.

“Still, the country needs a protector that knows what’s going on. If you leave, the Guild will most likely create chaos while the nobles will be blind playing their stupid game!” Lei glanced quickly at the upset elf but continued to walk towards his meditation chamber.

“It’s not a game, its called politics. And if I’m not mistaken you aren’t completely unfamiliar with the system either. I’ve heard that elf politics makes the humans politics look like child’s game,” he had actually been able to be snarled in it twice and compared to the politics of Lanticka, the elven politics seemed really complex. The elf grimaced in frustration but continued to follow him in silence. When they arrived at the chamber door he turned around and faced the elf.

“So, you have my instructions clear? Nobody is to know where I went or where, just that I’ve left the country and do not intend to come back,” he looked the elf straight in the eye which were full of disapproval, he never had managed to agree with elves.

“Yes my lord,” his voice was steady but his eyes were still full of disapproval though he knew that he would do as he told him. Even though it was impossible to get an agreement with elves they still were more loyal than most humans.

“And, tell Agusi that she will have to wait for Leila for at least five years before she’s officially dead,” he added as he opened the door and walked into the chamber to meditate before the teleportation. Before the elf got to answer his question he had closed the door and locked it with a spell. He walked to the middle of the room, sat down and started to meditate.

Okay, I wrote a little piece it seems. I think it’s pretty clear what it is and I think that most of the details about this have already been made pretty clear a couple of sessions ago. That a order of succession to the throne have been announced I think they mentioned soon before or after the Kalmar incident. Though it’s actually old news that I decided upon already when the Y-stad event was planned. Maybe I’ll write one more some other time.

Best regards,

okay , this one I liked , mainly because it was fun too see the different thinking of a human from an elf , and it was an enjoyable conversation to read.
Other than that I dont have much to add on this one.. keep it up 🙂

Well, it’s actually an human thinking about an elf. The elf is the outside spectator and we are in Lei’s mind.

But well, good you liked it.
