Stones

This post is about the stone-system I have implemented lately, in other words about RPG, so no need to read if you aren’t a part of any of my RPG-groups.

As you all have noticed by now I have started to use stones for FP, this is partly to balance up the thing that daily training have went away and partly to make the characters develop even though they don’t succeed. The stone-system will also replace the SP-system.

I will use five different stones, maybe more in the future, but the stones will all have different meanings depending on the session. I will decide what they will mean before or during the session. I’ve also decided to take away the value SP. Now it will be stones, and the number of stones will decide which SP-abilities you might use or not. I will do a list that you will have available during the session to se what you can use your stones for. I still haven’t really decided what but these following things will be available, even though I don’t know for how much yet.

Second Chance – As the old one…
Performance Enhancer – Will give your character a boost, undeterminable but notable
Focusation – If you have SP/FP stones you may use them instead of getting a TM
Moods – As before, you can be in a certain mood to get some modification as well as stones
Reduction – This is meant to reduce or completely take away penalty FP

These and the old ones. I think it will work pretty well. The original plan was to use the stones for abilities1 and to reduce writing on the sheets. I’m not sure if I really should do this yet. Mostly because it would be a little hard to give people stones for every ability, skill and property. I have a suggestion though, if people want to, I can make a so called fast sheet the size of a A5 on which you only fill in your FP in the right square and in the end of the session you just transfer it. But that may take up a lot of paper, but if you want I might do this.

Well, so from now on SP is equal to stones. Until now 1 stone have been 20 SP, but I don’t need it if you are going to pay with stones. This way you can save your stones between sessions, and the stones you save will become SP/FP stones the next session for you to use to abilities or something.

As for INF-FP. It’s not something you will be able to use so often. You can use it if you have a teacher or someone to help you train. Players won’t be able to teach someone else something other than languages and knowledge’s. Skills must be learned from SLP’s or trainers in the world. So if you want to use your FP you accumulated you will have to seek up a teacher, which often costs money.

Best regards,
