Back on Track and Running Forward
Some may have noticed a slight… disturbance this weekend from my end. Those of you who didn’t… well, let’s just leave it at that. The only one I’ve seen this weekend have been Drak for a movie night, which I must say I enjoyed, even though Nightmare City 2035 really sucked. But well, it was the only really bad movie we saw that night so whatever.
However, this weekend we are going to Kusmark, on the event calendar is also my classmates, but that have been cancelled so except for Kusmark the week is vacant. I just wanted to inform you of some things. This concerns those that will come to Kusmark so you may skip this part.
We are going on Friday by car and will return Sunday. I know that Ankan have to get back to work on Monday so we will probably be back here before 22:00. I don’t want to drive to late either1. It takes about one and a half hour to go there by car so the only thing that remains to deal with about the actual schedule for the trip is WHEN we are going to depart from Luleå. My suggestion is the following;2
That we depart from Luleå around 11:00. This will mean that I want everyone and everything ready to go at that time. PB is brining his dogs3, and if he does this we’ll need to go there before we leave. He needs to bring food and such and that is too heavy to carry here. Therefore I say that Ankan and Foppa either come here by 10:30 or go directly to PB (Hjortstigen) so they are there and ready at 10:50. I won’t pick you up, I want to avoid the city as much as possible and I don’t want to go in the wrong direction4. So just decide where you will be going, to me or PB and say this to me so I won’t wait for you in vain and make sure to have everything you need. But I also want to know if PB will bring his dogs or if he will have a second solution instead by leaving them or something. If so then I WON’T go to his place. DO NOT TRY TO TRICK ME, I WILL KILL YOU.
Other than this it’s about what to bring along to Kusmark. We will only be staying there for three days (two nights) so we won’t need to bring along the whole wardrobe. But we are geeks so I don’t even think that you will bring too much with you anyway. The place we will be staying at will have electricity but bad reception. There is a shower, but note that its warm water is very limited so I don’t think that a shower everyday is possible. They have an outhouse, no indoor toilet, and then we have the forest surrounding the yard. Note that we will most likely be outside quite much and it’s on the country so think of that. So I would recommend clothes and shoes and such after weather. I’m also planning to train. This means that I will probably run a little every now and then when we aren’t busy and those willing to join me may join me. I’m not so sure, but I think it would be best if everybody brought along their own bed linens. It may be possible that Grandma will provide for us but I wouldn’t bet on it. She’s old and I rather rely on myself instead of being a burden to her and grandpa.
There are four houses in Kusmark. The main house, which Grandpa and Grandma Lives, there is the kitchen and the shower. We won’t spend too much time there I think. Then we have Oskar’s Stuga which is a little house with only one room. We will sleep here and spend much time there. This place is not too big, almost smaller than my living room. Then we have the second house. This house is almost as big as the main house, but it’s not very “active” so to speak. Per, my uncle, he used to live there and there is a living room, a kitchen and two bedrooms there. If it’s bad weather we may be in there not to bother my grandparents when it’s bad weather or something. Then we have the garage and storehouse. It’s one and the same building with garage, storehouse and the outhouse. Other than using the outhouse I don’t think we will spend too much time in there, though I played a lot there when I was smaller.
There is actually three more buildings, but they are so minor that they aren’t really buildings. One is only a storage, which is the first thing you’ll see when you arrive and up between Oskar’s Stuga and the secondary house there is a woodshed. Behind the main house, in the forest, is a Jordkällare5. Well, we won’t use those anyways.
Well, that’s about it for Kusmark, any questions and suggestions should be posted here. I think you all know why…
Well I may have some time to play during the evenings this week but I say only once or twice. I need to prepare for other things as well. I prefer everything being settled on the Sessions-page, but actually it only requires one to post there. So only one post is necessary unless you’ve a problem with the suggestion. In other words if one says that they want a session at one time, that’s enough if you agree. Yes, you may check with me before if I’m able to have a session then over MSN or something, but post it later so everyone can see and I will also make it a point in the event calendar. When it comes to Role-Play I will use the blog as my main tool to communicate and therefore ALL sessions with ALL groups will be set by the blog. I won’t post your suggestions, I will post my own. This concerns the kids too, if they want to play. Rasmus or Robert need to request by comment. The reason for this is one; to let all others know when I’m busy and not, and two; to make it faster. This way you will know when something changes too. Just check the blog, if you won’t accept this then maybe we shouldn’t play, say what you want.
I said that I was most likely going to finish the myths this weekend, but well, due to what happened I didn’t. I hope you have forgiveness so most likely I will do it today instead if not anything turns up. Anyway I need to finish that, and prepare for the mini-campaign and just finish some minor stuff I saw needed some adjustment during the test-fighting. This may need some help from some of you, but only serious help. I can’t stand unserious shit right now and I rather prefer to be alone if people just come here to joke around or just waste my time.
Well, I’m going to finish this movie I’ve been watching parallel to this writing now and then go to bed. Note that my temper is still short.

Ok , well 11:00 works for me , and yes I will bring the dogs , if that changes I will contact you.
Anyway some questions:
1.if youre bringing bed linens , may I borrow youre sleeping bag?(might have one at home , ill check later)
2.I asked Oskar earlier if anyone would be interested playing some board-games maybe.. if the weather is bad and we get too tired of RPG and such(ill only bring something if people wants).
3.Im guessing they have running water if they have a shower?(thinking of the dogs)
well I dunno , im looking forward to this anyway and hopefully the weather is nice.. ill post more questions if anything comes up.
I might have some linens to lend and I think that I recommend that instead of a sleeping bag.
As for the board games it’s up to the rest. I’m not particularly fond of boarding games but I can play if I don’t have anything else to do.
Yes, they have running water. They have an own well, not the medivial style but the morden one, so the water there is practically free of charge.
Yeah, if we are lucky the weather will be nice.
I just realized another question that I need to get an answer to.
Ankan; will you be able to go that early in the morning on Friday or do you need to work that day? We can go during the evening, but then we won’t have much time to do anything else when we get there later. Well, it’s your call anyway.
11:00 should be possible and I’ll come to your place.
Regarding boardgames, I’m not that much into them either. But you will most likely be able to convince me to play and have fun anyway. (Just about anything that is not card game with extra lives).
What will we do about food and stuff?
And how is the terrain for walking around there (which I have a suspicion we will do quite a lot of)? Roads, paths, gravel, asphalt?
Well, one board game that are okay for Geeks like us should be Mutant Chronicles or Lord of the Rings. However, I actually doubt we will play any boardgames.
Well, we have two possibilites, we bring our own food or we rely on my grandma to cook. I prefer a combination of the two but well, what do you say?
As for the terrain we have all the above. If the weather permits and so on we will most likely be on all these terrain-types but mostly on roads, small roads, around the forest and such. But we’ll see.
