Daily Report – Saturday 21/6 – 08
Yet another day in this city of Sundsvall.
I woke up several times this morning, but I got up around eight-nine just to try to do something useful. Though people didn’t wake up until ten so I just played around with my computer and did mostly nothing. I had a horrible ache in my legs too, so I didn’t move around so much either. I also had some ache in my right arm. This was all from playing rounders the day before. I ran as hell us usual during physical activities until I was pretty worn out. And throwing the ball too, and obviously I threw it wrong so I hurt my shoulder as well as strained my muscles too much.
However, this day was really slow. Camilla woke up with a really bad headache, which we later learned was due to the thunderstorm that later started around noon or something like that. Most of the morning Manga and I spent playing Wii unlocking secrets in some game he had there and just talking and taking it easy. Even though we didn’t do much it was kind of nice anyway even though Camilla slept almost all day and didn’t talk much.
The day before Camilla, Manga and I had decided with Per1 and Amanda to play WoW TCG. So after playing for about half of the light part of the day Manga showed me how to play the game. We played the rest of the day and before we went to the others we got some Pizza when Camilla got up around 18:00 and just after the Pizza and before we went over to their place we played some more Wii and then Manga and I went, Camilla stayed behind due to her headache.
We got there and well, chatted around a little. Per, seemed to be a pretty interesting person. He is their trainer and also a game master. You know how some say that just by watching a persons room or apartment you can learn much about that person? That is very true, even though it takes lot of time to learn anything useful this way. You need some base information too, which I had gathered the day before and already then I had noted that this Sifu person had some interesting traits in his personality.
His apartment was very neatly cleaned and organized. Most people over the age of 25 have started to organize their things. It’s a natural thing to do when you grow older, to seem more organized as you try to find your place in the structure of society. However, the more organized you are the easier it is to see what kind of person you are if you don’t try to deceive people by using reverse-psychology or just manipulate the mind. However, his bookshelves were filled with Fantasy-books, some Star Trek DVD-boxes and books from his education and books about Kung-Fu. His neat style was kind of similar to my own, but that’s not to uncommon when I use efficient styles which many people use. Not too much, not too little… but in mine case it’s too little to really fit this. I’m a minimalist, kind of.
However, after we had played a raid-game in WoW TCG, kind of all against one big boss-deck. Manga and Amanda kept playing while I took the chance to make some enquiries about his role-playing style and thought and so on. Just checking how active he was and how his style was, and to my pleasant surprise we shared a lot of the same thoughts and methods in this area. He is a Game Master and seems to like that though he seems to like being a player too unlike me. He is a lot more experienced than me tough, being about 11 years older. I could speak on with this forever, though I don’t think that anyone would find it interesting.
Well, we played some other games that night too. A pretty fun game based on the Lord of the Rings2 and a game where you played a geek and the purpose of the game is to first get as many points as possible and you can do this in several ways but mostly by buying things that match your obsession. I’ve played a variation of this game before where you are a student instead and must work, go to school and gather money as well as geek around in your free time. Maybe I should get these games, they are cheap, easy to play and would raise the geek factor in the group pretty much, and it’s fast too! Good to have when you have to split the group for a while or after a session if people wants to hang around some more…
Well, that’s about it. We went home around one and after I had packed my stuff I played Wii alone to about three when I got to bed… or couch in this case.
Best regards,
Herid Fel
