In Sundsvall
I’m here at last. The ride down was terrible, or pretty ok depending on how you see it. Sitting still is no problem, either is sleeping in a moving vehicle that is highly uncomfortable but the effects of sitting down and sleeping on the same chair in eight ours is that your butt tends to hurt after about five hours. This makes the last three hours pretty annoying.
One thing I do not understand about this is why you get butt-ache when you ride a buss for eight hours but nothing other than backache when I sit on a plane. I don’t move any more, and in fact I have more space on in the bus than on a plane. I always get my backache when I go by bus, car or plane. But butt-ache I seldom get but then again, I seldom sit in a bus or a car for longer than one and a half hours maximum two hours. Well, it doesn’t matter really, just wanted to point it out.
The weather here is nice at the moment, about 20 to 25 degrees in the air, though it feels like a thunderstorm is coming, the wet hot air and a feeling of tension or excitement in the air. Not to mention the big clouds rising in the horizon. But then again, it doesn’t necessarily need to become a thunderstorm just because of the condition.
Well, when I got here Camilla made some Lasagne and I ate some of my salad that I’ve made yesterday evening. After the dinner we went to their Kung-Fu training and I got to met Johan again, the person that followed Camilla up here the first time I met her in 2004. Heh, four years ago, amazingly enough. Back then he had hurt himself on a piece of glass and had crutches for those who remember him.
Watching their training was actually pretty fun, even though Camilla seemed to think that I was bored. With all my fighting experience and my previous history with martial arts things like this sometimes are very funny. Comparing the fight style and the training style of Kung-Fu with the Karate-styles I’ve tested and the other martial arts I’ve tested was pretty interesting. I thought that Kung-Fu would have more differences that it had, I had some expression that they were almost a free-floating form of martial arts with no real movement coordination. Only ifs and buts, so to speak. But actually they are a lot like Karate even though it’s like a combination of Karate and Capueria with floating movement but still precise and direct and they have weapons in their style too.
Like Ninjutsu, or Budjinkan Taijutsu Ninjutsu as its real name is, they have several weapons included in the training. But here they have a lot more weapons included and a more precise use it seems to. Swords, Axes, staffs, cling-spear and more of the like makes this style of Kung-Fu pretty interesting when it seems like they need to know a lot of weapons and know how to move and use them. This kind of versatile martial arts is good for the body and trains much of the body. Not only coordination, precision and strength but also endurance, balance, control and both finer as well as rougher motor skills. If I would have the chance to train it in the future and if the cost wouldn’t be too high maybe I would start, but most likely not.
This brings me to the point of the day; the FRA-law has gone through. It will put into use in January 2009. This will complicate things when cryptation of the data-stream probably won’t be enough to hide what you’re doing. I’ve read the suggestion and even though they aren’t allowed to get the persons address and shit like that until they have evident proof that you are doing something wrong, they still will be able to check information flow containing the keywords they look for. Using proxies too are out of the question for me when that will slow down the speed of the transfers and almost everything I want to do using the next immensely.
My plan was to go back to Japan in January or February 2009, and maybe depending on how things goes here move there and start a new life as I spoke about in my Travel Journals. Now it seems like that will be true even though things go as they should over here. I do too much illegal stuff with my internet connection that I’m not ready to even risk it by living here. So most likely, if I don’t find any solution that works for me, I will move when I go back to Japan. Not like you really care, your life will only be slightly altered so well…
Well, it actually started to rain during their training, so I was right about the rain but no thunder. Well, after the training we mostly just hanged around talking in Zaphod’s apartment and played Wii until Zaphod and Manga1 was so tired so they went to bed early, around 23ish.
Best regards,
