The Guild

What should I say… things didn’t really go so smooth yesterday…
Let me review the session a bit…

The start was quite fine, even though it took some time to get there and too much unserious digressions during the day too. However in the beginning everything went as planned and you all just tired to settle down.

Agus and Ankan had a hard time, there was several different options he could have chosen, some better than others but in that situation you pick the one that seems to be the best for survival. Agus had no clue what was going on and when strange people from the guild started too search the woods, obviously after him, he fled the scene.

This, Agus could have done different, but I think it was a wise logical first choice from his point of view. Though I might say that I though Agus to be a little annoyed and even maybe angry over the fact that he didn’t have any of his things with him. But also, he wants to avoid trouble so he runs away a bit. But the only thing that I now see that is a little bit illogical is for Agus to planning to leave all his stuff behind and just make a run for it. Ankan have to consider this himself but according to much is his profile he shouldn’t just leave his stuff and possible live witnesses that actually can make him a hunted man for the rest of his life. But that’s only my interpretations of his character.

As for Jayde, yes, it’s not easy to deal with the Law in any country. No law and no men of the law is just in any country. They do as they want and they have the law on their side. Here I hear a statement from PB that is very wrong; “It’s impossible to play a character that doesn’t think.” As a matter of fact, Jayde should think… and pretty much indeed. If you remember your background you should know that if you aren’t able to comprehend the situation very quickly… you’ll die. Jayde is in other words a quick thinker, but just with a high tone of violence in all her actions. Therefore the action to try to intimidate Gösta was very right, but then just to roll him down the stairs was actually pretty wrong, though Jayde could have done that, but not going to panic afterwards. So far everything checks out.

Leon is calm, as always. This is nothing to say about but he should feel the uneasiness of all around him and the tension of the manor. This place is about to burst and when all these characters are under one roof things are bound to get bad. It’s hard to determine Leons action, due to the lack of any actions. He may be drawn back, but that does often mean that he actually does things but only keeps to himself.

However, let’s see the situation you are in now…

Didrik is charged with various crimes and seems to be in a very tight spot, this you all know.
Didrik seems to have done something to upset and to make him a target of the Guild, this you all know.
Jayde seems to have tried to intimidate Gösta, but failed and instead made Astrid aware of the situation.
Some strange magical artefacts have been found in the cellar in a blocked room, this you all know.
Jayde is facing the penalty of death by guillotine and Didrik you don’t really know what they will do to him.
Leon and Duo is the only one of these two that actually is not charged of anything.
Agus is on the run for somewhere else, hungry, freezing cold and without money or equipment.

The situation is a mess to say the least and it’s obvious that things are a little out of hand for every one of you. This could easily be the death for both Agus and Jayde, I could say, though two events haven’t been pulled off yet. These two events would change most things even though what you’ve done in the manor won’t go away that easily anyway.

Just think about the situation and your choices and your characters, and we’ll se what we’ll make of it during Monday. But if you act rash, irrational or even out of control stop may be induced. If things escalate in a direction that to me seems very illogical then I must either have understood something wrong about your characters or you just aren’t able yet to comprehend your character.

Otherwise, the reason to why i stopped the session is due to the fact that I thought that some of your actions didn’t have any thoughts to them anymore and that you all just gave up without doing anything to change it. Not even trying one little thing, like you suddenly became repressed by the situation even though you started it knowingly. I need you a little more sharp and I myself just needed to reshape some things when you all seemed to have strayed. I felt like some actions were wrong but I couldn’t really see them. I need to train to see the small misstakes you make. But other than this, I think that I should have designed some of the things of this scenario a little bit differently. In other words, I didn’t prepare enough, my bad.
