Second Session

Well, we had our second session today one could say.

When me and my sister were talking on the island, we decided to postpone our trip to our grandmother to a time when she had some more free days instead of having her waste her two only free days with the family. Most likely she would like to have some time for herself so therefore we decided to go sometime during next week instead. This opened up the possibility to play today. And I thought that hey, why not? And made some calls and arranged it.

Well, we started off pretty late. In the beginning, I was late due to the fact that PB and I walked from his place to Muddy River to get my sleeping bag I left in the car on the way back from the marina, and then we walked to me but ended up being about ten to fifteen minutes late so Foppa, who had been waiting for us, had to wait for almost half an hour. But well, I guess it didn’t really matter anyway. The weather was good and he didn’t seem to be in any pain, haha.

Well David was late this time, though he actually arrived. He was surprised that it was a group-session for some reason but he adjusted, or so we say. He actually seemed very reluctant to play with the group in the beginning and seemed very anti against himself, our way of playing and everything. This, I can say it’s not good. Well, I can understand if one feels like this, but it kind of ruins the possibility for playing a little in the way that we want to play. Or at least in the way that I want to play, I can’t speak for you. You all need to express your concerns and your thoughts and if you aren’t in the mood, we can’t play and hope it will disappear. It will annoy and nag me so I will lose my will to continue to put any effort in game mastering the game. This style we are currently playing by, requires that your opinions and feelings about everything are expressed… otherwise others, not only me, will be annoyed and badly influenced by some half-finished comments that you aren’t willing to elaborate.

However, despite this, we actually managed to continue to play. Even though it was with great effort from my side when I wasn’t feeling to good. So we started to sort out the details in the mansion about their relationship and how it had proceeded and such things. I didn’t put in all the details as I did the last time, but I won’t if you miss a part somewhere, sometime, you’ll just have to hope that a similar part will occur later. I won’t repeat myself some details that need both mood and timing to be put in. The most important thing though is to think about things from your characters point of view and nullify or minimize your own point of view. Empathize and really try to play out the character from what we have decided. I won’t say too much other than when things are really out of character… so it’s up to you during the group sessions to make your impression put up to what we have decided. And do not ask to much questions to me, just play it out what you think and I will correct you if you’re right or wrong. The thinking and about what’s right or wrong we will focus on during the single-sessions.

Well, we played a second part, and we will play a third part before we will continue back to single-session form for about one round before we will try to put together the whole group into a whole, hopefully…

Best regards,
