And so it begins again…
I’ve now read all your comments about the changes for the RPG. Well… Good that you all agreed and I hope that this will work. I feel like I need this to have the game to be stimulating enough for me. Now to the next part of the plan…
Now I will start to do some initial planning and preparing but I want to start with the initial-sessions this Thursday. The coming two weeks we will play single-sessions only in turns. Hopefully you’ll all have time for that. It will be at least two sessions per player and I will play eventual encounters with the other characters so no other player is needed1.
Due to some changes some you may want to configure your concept a little. I also need to adjust your history when some things no longer fit in into the story anymore. This might not be a problem at all but if there are any problems we’ll try solve it together during the singles-sessions until we’re both satisfied with the result. It can’t stray too much from the original concept or it would make it difficult, if not impossible, to continue to play the same character in the same way.
Actually the changes I’ve made mostly concern society and world-perspective. Because I haven’t finished all of my changes and such I don’t like to give them in such a premature state. But due to the changes in the worlds history and such things will be hectic and strange for you all to play with all changes at once. Therefore I’ve initiated a lockdown, almost as when you were in Aguin. This means that your characters won’t leave Katia for one or another reason until we are considered finished with it and during the same time I will try to inform you all about the world’s changes so you won’t do silly mistakes due to my changes.
Before we begin I have some important information to share with you or questions maybe. I need for you to make a final decision about if you want to continue with this character, due to the order of things. I will now try to start the sessions with Ankan and after that Foppa, after these two I will take David and PB in whatever order. This is due to some technical plot details. If you want to change your character I need to take you first, and I plan to start this Thursday. I will start planning tomorrow so I want a quick answer on MSN, mail, cell whatever, so I don’t do things I don’t need to do.
The other thing I have to tell you is that we will is that I will consider everything that have happened until now2 as the prelude to the actual tale. That is in the past and if this were a game or a movie or a book, that is your background. Some of the things that will happen now will be based on that, but mostly it’s only the reason of your strengths and weaknesses. We’ll maybe add or remove some of the events to make them a little better flowing with a whole story and to suit eventual future events. About information you should know that you now most likely don’t know, I think that will have to take it a little as it comes but give you the most important stuff now. You will all be pretty strong now but still, you have just passed the threshold for a mere mortal.
I will try to post a post today about things that you might want to think a little about before the first session. Things that have changed a little and things that might change. But if nothing else, then I want to start this Thursday, so Ankan please contact me when you can and so on, I have taken this week off to rest and get rid of my jet lag, so I’ll have plenty of time to play.
Other than this I want to have a movie night this Friday. Okay, I know that PB works, but still I think that PB might have the time and will to watch some movies and chat a little about RPG with us before work and if we all feel up to it after he’s left then maybe we’ll continue for a while longer. But most probably we’ll just continue for a little while due to the fact I have plans to play at least one single-session per day from Thursday until we’re ready to play again. As for the small group… I’ve yet to determine if we’ll continue.
