Travel Journal – Monday 21/4 – 08

I’ll split this post in two I’ve decided. This is because some things that happened today is not for all who reads my blog, because a lot happened. The things that are for all will be in this post, and on the other password-protected post, that I will name Tuesday 22/4 due to the fact that everything that happened after 00:00 is things that I don’t want to share will everyone. So to get the password I’ll have to mail me, I won’t send it over MSN, some of you won’t get it, but there are a few who reads my blog that actually are authorized to read it.

However, this post will be quite short because we spent most of the day here in Kita-Urawa. In the morning Oliver and I went over to the girls place to take a shower and to see what our plans were for today. Obviously the only thing we had on our schedule was a show in Shibuya, which I weren’t going to. But afterwards we were going out for a drink1. Oliver was going away as usual and after he had taken his shower he bid us farewell and went with the train to somewhere in Tokyo, I think Asakusa. I took a shower and then I waited a while for Danielle to pack her things. The Swedish girls had gone and it seemed like the guy that were coming to our room had cancelled so we were to ask if she could move back.

On our way back from the apartment to the apartment in the school we met Jim that actually was going to the apartment to meet us. He wanted the key and some help with some things. We asked him if it was okay to move back to Miiko’s and he said it was so we all went back and took all the things and moved back here. During our walk we talked about a little of everything, but mostly about diferrencies between US, England, Sweden and Japan. Like the prices, the laws and the culture in whole. I think we spoke about France and German too but it was only brief. We also asked Jim if he were interested to go out for a drink with us after the show and he said sure, so we decided to meet up with him after Ayaha and Danielle had been to the show.

When we arrived back here we unpacked some of Danielle’s things, made the bed and cleaned up the place a little. Then Danielle started to put on her make-up and I was downstairs with the internet and chatted a little as usual. It took about two hours for her to finish and during that time I was downstairs chatting about wireless internet with Miiko and Jim. Jim thought that it was a wonderful idea that would make Miiko’s place more attractive to other Couch Surfers. Miiko on the other hand thought that it sounded like magic so it took quite a while to describe what it was and how it worked, and then she wanted it and she wanted it like now! So she gave me her permission to buy the stuff that was needed at Akiba and set it up. So I’ll probably go there on Wednesday2 to buy everything which is only one switch and one wireless router. I have the limt of 10000 yen3 which would suffice for what she wanted.

Well, however I also decided that Jim would knock on our door when he was going so I would know where the girls were and so on. Jim and Ayaha has phones so it was only natural that I go with Jim if Danielle and Ayaha were on the show, that way we would all be able to reach each other. Then Danielle was finished and she wanted some help to get to Shibuya so I followed her and then turned back. The rest of the evening I was writing posts and drinking tea while thinking about some things until Jim came by and we went to Shibuya to meet up with the girls, and from there it’s a whole other story…

Best regards,
