Travel Journal – Friday 18/4 – 08
I’m all alone… for the first time in ages, it feels like. Right now Danielle is with the Swedish girls and Oliver is out running, as always. It really feels great to have some lone time every now and then. And being over social isn’t good always. Not for a person like me at least, who likes the darkness, haha.
However today we’ve done nothing special again, it was raining pretty hard so we decided to stay here. Well, actually we didn’t really plan to do so, we planned to go to Akiba and then to Chiba, but well… the rain made us soaking wet so we had to dry our clothes at Miikos place. But yeah, that was after I helped Danielle to move over to the other apartment with the Swedish girls. We went there around noon with her stuff and while we were going there it started to rain. Well, when we arrived Danielle took a shower while I was talking in Swedish with the girls. It was actually pretty hard; I mixed up English and Swedish all the time which made my Swedish sound a little bit strange.
After we greeted them we were supposed to go Lawson1 to buy tickets to the show so we knew that we wouldn’t go to Chiba and not get into the show. For some reason it didn’t work, we later figured that either was the tickets sold out or you couldn’t buy tickets on the same day as the show. And on our way to Lawson we had got soaked by the heavy rain, so we then decided to take one step at a time; first go to Miiko and get umbrellas and dry/change our clothes.
When we arrived at Miikos we ate some toast and hanged up our clothes for drying. I was very, very tired, due to the fact that I’ve barely slept so I took the opportunity to sleep for about an hour. When I woke up we decided to go and buy some salad and then go to the other apartment, which is bigger than this one and make food. We went to the humongous supermarket Saty and bought what we needed. When we arrived at the other place the Swedish girls were gone, we didn’t really care to where so we ate our salad in peace2.
I seem to have run out of words right now. So I’ll be even more brief than usual.
After eating up our salad we went and washed our clothes, while we waited for the machine to finish we went for a stroll round Kita-Urawa, and then back and put in all our clothes in the dryer, then a new stroll and we even got a drink at a bar someplace then back and then back to the apartment. The Swedish girls had returned and we talked for a while then one of their neighbours, a Japanese guardsman, came home and wanted to sleep, so I went home to this place.
Well, brief as I said, but well… today really was full of nothing, don’t have much to add other than the solitude is nice and that taking it easy also is kind of nice. Well, tomorrow we’ll go to the Visual Kei concert with five bands, other than that it seems like we don’t have much other planned for tomorrow.
Best regards,
Herid Fel
