Daily Report – Wednesday 23/1 – 08

First I thought; “Today I’m feeling too lazy to write on English, let’s write in Swedish tonight”. But well, then energy started coming back to me and I decided in the end to write it in English anyway. Well, haven’t written anything of any importance since… Sunday so today I’ll try to write a little more.

Yesterday, I had my first PE lesson at the university. I’ve started the PE specialization course of the teachers program, this Monday, so well PE is one of the things we’re going to do a lot in the future. For those who don’t know, I first entered the program without a specialization set, then when I tried to come into this specialization, they said that I couldn’t so I decided then to take Swedish instead.
Luckily for me, they had a few extra positions that they wanted to fill last week so I jumped at the opportunity and got it! This will surely keep my motivation a bit higher, hopefully.

Well, well… back to the lesson. Well, except for the many games we played, some more silly than others, it was quite fun. The Chicken Dance were one of the few games we played witch was fun as well as confusing. Sometimes one ended up without a partner to hook up too, but well, that just proved that most of us had forgotten this game from middle-school or when one last played it.

I ran as usual, and gave everything we did, everything I’d got. So in the end I were pretty exhausted, but feeling better than I had done in a long time since I’ve not had the opportunity to run around and let all my inner physical energy just burst out like that since… well, my last PE lesson or something like that.

After that I attended to the Japanese lesson with Tomoko and her new pupils. It was pretty dull, since this would be the… sixth or seventh time I’ve heard the same thing again. But well, later in the course I’ll be able to repeat what I need to repeat a little more. Like the grammar considering the adjectives. Not that I have problems with it, but when I’m constructing sentences that are long, I tend to need to break them up in three or four sentences instead of one.

I wasn’t the only one who attended that already had done this course. Gösta, who were in the last group, is there too. He thou have only had one course before so it wouldn’t be so dull for him as it were for me. But he was fun to talk too about various things since we share a lot of hobbies. There are two others I know in the class too. Ankan and David Backteman¹, the latter is one that have played RPG with us in Jokkmokk a couple of summers ago.

And speaking of which, I’m asking David to come and play in our group as an tryout. He have agreed and wanted to do so, if he had the time, which he maybe would have. I told him thou that I’ll speak to him again when we’re ready for him. Which will be soon…

Today I’ve played with the kids again. Almost the whole session were occupied for a major fight with two of the mages that kidnapped them to Terra Nova. One died, of the mages, and the other escaped when he was running low on MP and Krister had finally destroyed his armor. We even had the battlemat out to play, but I didn’t like it. It was a bad idea. It’s easier, not to mention faster to play social battles in times like that. I need monsters if I’m going to use the mat. Well, noone died, thou both were critically wounded.

One thing, and this is directed both to Robert as well as you in the big group, is that you NEVER shall give up and just proclaim; “Now I’m dead, it’s over! It’s useless!”.
Saying that greatly decreases my will to continue to play. Things WILL look gloomy and bad, but that’s NO reason to give up and complain. If you choose to ignore everything else I say about how to play and so, do not ignore things that affect my will to play. That can’t end well, if you want to have a pleasant and good session. Remember that.

Other than this the kid’s are still alive and will probably be alive for a while longer. Until their group either die or the split in the group becomes too great. But well, so far things are holding up and I hope it will continue. It’s up to me after all and if I must I will interfere with the events and set things right again.

About the development of the rules and such, I’m adjusting the SP-system a little so it WILL be used. Due to the lack of arguments and will to discuss this I will do this formed on the few arguments that I can build on and then you that just want to “test it” will have to test the product of this instead. But feel free to discuss it next session, if I’m not ready with the thing by then…

I lost my topic… I was talking to Ankan about the SP, things and forgot this for a while… The day have changed to Thursday so well, I think I’ll end this post now.
