Farscape – An source of inspiration

I first stumbled upon Farscape it was due to the fact that I had momentarily lost my interest in anime and was searching for a good inspiration source in western series. I found a couple, and started watching them but dropped most of them and only continued with Andromeda and Farscape.

Andromeda didn’t have very much that I could adapt other than a plotline or two but mostly the characters inspired me a little. But well, I dropped Andromeda after it completely got off track and became to repeating.

Farscape on the other hand may have looked a little budget in the beginning, but the characters and the world fascinated me. I started to adapt many plotlines and stuff from the series to RPG almost instantly. The living ship Moya = the fly but modified. The golden parasites = techno coins. The evil arch mage Maldis = the demonic priest Maldis. And so on… I still have some plots that I’m adapting as well as characters.

I’m writing this now, normally I wouldn’t tell anyone about this, because I’ve already done most of the adoptions from this series and because I know that some already just had to check it up. Which I don’t mind but I think it’s a little bit cowardly not to tell. But then again, most of my comrades are cowards.

Well, I now have in my arsenal, all four seasons, one movie and the behind the curtains extra, Undressed.

Well, I recommend it.
