Nianze News #002
WE NOW INTERRUPT THE PROGRAM FOR SOME IMPORTANT TELEGRAM
L: D, have just arrived, he is in pretty bad shape but is recovering. He have thou an urgent message to all magicians! The skill multitrans no longer works as we are used to! It seems like multitrans is no longer able to restore magical capacity! Instead it reduces the cost of spells for magicians.
E: That’s horrible news for those who depended on it who weren’t magicians! How come, did he say that?
L: Not really, he passed out, but he said that it was something about magicians being able to share magic. I’m not sure what he really meant.
E: I see, probably something to with the channeling. I think that…
WE NOW CONTINUE WITH THE PROGRAM THAT WAS RUNNING BEFORE
I assume the use of multitrance will increase the amount of actions the spell takes?
Hehe I see.. well.. I must say I dont really like that idea. I mean if there isnt anyway to regain mp without having a mage in the group.. well. sounds like all other classes that wanna use mp is getting nerfed like hell. especially thinking about kremis and hannje.
And since we arent that many players , well almost feels enforced to have a mage in the party then. Keep up the stories, eheh
That’s right! BUT!
The speed channeling thing reduces even that!
So a spell that usually takes about 1 then you add multitrans it takes 2 and then focusing twice so it takes 4 and then you reduce it will speed channeling… to 1 again, hehehe.
There is ways to regain mp, without mages. But it ain’t easy, and you can’t do that in battles. And the MP-restoration is pretty high too.
Thats not my point :S.. What I mean is..multitrans restored mp before right? and if it doesnt do that anymore you cant regain mp anyway except having a mage in the group?
like I said… feels kinda enforced. but I guess we will see how it will work out
Sounds interresting, this will make up some interesting uses for action-reduction.
And the sharing of MP also sounds interresting, but as PB mentioned; it will be a kinda large drawback for other classes…
Multitrance was rather effective for them since they didn’t have as much MP as a mage, and therefore didn’t need to receive as much to be effective.
It is possible to regain MP, without mages, outside battles. And with MP-batteries. And one thing that is different to is how much MP you have. MAG plus ½ VST is often more than before.
And it’s not enforced to have a mage in the group. In battles you just simply can’t use your magic abilities all the time. You just need to use them more wisely.
Outside battles, things will be easier, but still limited. So if you don’t have a mage, you will be magically exhausted. Which I really have missed. No one has ever been exhausted. It have seemed like everyone have had infinite mp, which ain’t the idea!
I mean it’s like running. You can’t run all the day in reality. So therefore I need to put up some limits. And considering the amounts of mp it takes for a Kremis or Hannje to do their stuff that shouldn’t be so bad.
Yes, it’s a little drawback. But it makes it possible to defeat classes that are hard to defeat due to mp.
Or what do you really think? Are you just complaining, or are you thinking?
Best regards,
Herid Fel
One thing worth mentioning is the fact that not even Magicians can restore MP. They too have to use the other restoration techniques or forbidden magic to restore their mp-pool.
The idea is that a mage shall be able to lend some mp to the party in battles or situations when the mage don’t need the mp.
As for my previous statement to defeat other classes, that ain’t really relevant, I said that because a LOT of people in the group thinks about the battle efficiency against other classes when I try to think versus opponents I can create and about creating useful members of a team.
I haven’t ever been a big fan of PvP, in any game when it’s about battles.
BTW, Dr. D is Davids last character Dhergo (I will use this spelling) as PB guessed.
